Welcome to your comfortable Upper Peninsula getaway, centrally located along H-58 in Melstrand, Michigan — just past the Melstrand Union General Store and a short scenic drive to Munising, Michigan, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, and Grand Marais, Michigan.

Perfect for outdoor adventurers, small families, or couples, this pet-friendly home offers easy access to ATV and snowmobile trails along with plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring.

It was a beautiful home and the host was excellent. This was a great property to stay when visiting the entire Painted Rock National Park. So many thoughtful amenities! I would definitely recommend booking here.

Cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed and appreciated having this as our home away from home for our first Upper Peninsula experience. Kayla was very thorough and responsive as a host. The home has very nice and thoughtful updates with the charm and quirks of a well seasoned and loved vacation home.Lovely yard that was excellent for star gazing and entertaining our 6yr old and dog between adventures. Location and proximity to Munising can't be beat. If you like to be close but avoid the congestion of a tourist area, Shingleton is a great option. I would recommend this home to ever and will absolutely book here, again! Excellent experience!

This home has been in our family for generations — it originally belonged to my husband’s great-grandparents. We lived here ourselves for many years and created countless memories before our growing family needed more space. Sharing it now feels very special to us, and we love that others can enjoy a place that means so much to our family.

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect balance of peaceful seclusion and easy access to some of the Upper Peninsula’s best outdoor experiences. Melstrand is quiet, scenic, and surrounded by nature, making it an ideal place to relax, unplug, and enjoy the beauty of the woods.

At the same time, it’s centrally located along H-58, so you’re just a short drive from Lake Superior, waterfalls, hiking trails, and popular destinations like Munising and Grand Marais. With direct access to ATV and snowmobile trails nearby, it’s also a great spot for year-round adventure.

We love how calm and uncrowded the area feels while still being close to everything people come to the U.P. to experience — that’s what makes it so special to us, and why we’re excited to share it with our guests.
