We enjoyed our stay at this location. It was nice to be able to have the family under one roof at a reasonable price. Beds were comfortable, the house was clean and is nicely updated. The laundry came in handy for a spill on our clothes, so we were thankful for that! Great kitchen with just about everything you need. Good size dining table and we appreciated the extra chairs stowed in the closet so we could all sit around it. The house is located across the street from the Shipwreck Tours and it was nice to take a walk to the water for sunrise and also to the boat launch late at night to view stars. Nice front porch to sit and sip your morning coffee. Shares parking with the tours, but wasn't a problem for our stay. Suggestion would be to have extra blankets on-hand in the closets and as mentioned by another reviewer, a privacy blind would be helpful in the east-facing bedroom and also in the combination bathroom/laundry.
Nice little house within an hour drive of UP attractions. House was furnished with most utensils you need for cooking ( only 1 frying pan) need more kitchen ware. Adequate for a short stay and small family. Property manager stated this VRBO is a new property and was responsive with messages when the bed frame bent.
Few things: parking is TERRIBLE here if you have more than 1 vehicle or anyone who is elderly. The musty smell did not go away, there is a need for an air purifier and/or damp rid. The air conditioner is portable/small so rooms felt humid/hot at times (we brought our own fans). The mattress with black and white bedding was HORRIBLE and most of the pillows crackled. The grass was long and required maintenance. Out the back window/kitchen there is rusty equipment from across the street in the backyard. This property needs some TLC
Overall this was a positive experience. The house was clean, the neighborhood was quiet. There was a smell inside the house but it may have just been from having the place closed up. Once we opened windows and aired it out it was fine for the days we were there. There were 5 of us and only 4 chairs at the table. A couple of folding chairs in a closet would be nice since the house sleeps 6. As previous posters have said, you do share parking with the glass bottom boat tour business across the street. This was only an issue a couple of times when we left and returned mid-day to a full lot. We had to find parking. The lot does completely empty out in the early evening. 1 reserved parking spot for the house might be nice. We arrived at the house at midnight on our arrival day and the code we were given was not working. I started to look for a phone number, hoping I would be able to reach someone, and my teenage son decided to try the code backwards. It worked!
Was wonderful having a 2 bedroom with 2 baths! We arrived after Shipwreck Tour Co. had closed for the season so had ample parking. Location was great! Could see the harbor from front window. Kate was always responsive to messages. We would stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay. The listing is accurate and the host is great. It was perfect as we had 4 people (2-couples). There is room for more with a couch that folds out. We ate in a lot and though it has a kitchen there is a need for additional cooking utensils and perhaps a toaster. We had a great stay overall. Thanks Kate.
The property looked exactly as in the pictures. The house has an old house smell when we first walked in. After opened all the windows to get the fresh air for the lake, the smell then went away. Overall is good. Only one burner works well of the stovetop (it's the outter left). During our stay, the house had no clothing detergent, no dish soap, no paper towels. Would I stay again? I think so but I would also want to checkout other places as well.
Great location with easy access to Pictured Rocks and Marquette. Kateâs place was as advertised and was very clean. Kitchen had all of the necessities. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
Very easy check-in. Great communication. Convenient location. Nice neighborhood on the lake. Due to Covid-19 we had no issues at all with parking due to having a small business across the street. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch with our morning coffee and being able to hear the birds and see the sun shining on the lake. It was super convenient to have a washer and dryer available and two bathrooms. The beds seemed to vary from firm to medium. There's a small grill and propane available as well. We would stay again if we came back this way.
Very clean and well stocked, except need more silverware. Sheer curtains in both bathrooms which led us to feel exposed. Privacy curtains are needed. Only 1 lamp in living room, so not very bright. Could use more nightstands in bedrooms..
Easy going stay convenient to many recreational sites
Everything went well and we enjoyed having a full kitchen for cooking some of our meals. Thanks for the passes to the Glass Bottom Shipwreck Tours; we loved the boat trip! There are a few ways that Kate could solve a few problems. The sheer curtains in the bathrooms and throughout the living/dining area made it seem a bit like a fishbowl, particularly since one of the bathroom doors does not close easily or quietly. There are ants in the front bedroom and on the porch that need to be dealt with.
Can not say enough how we enjoyed our stay. Very clean and comfortable. Nice Marina and little park close to walk our little dog too. Also, if taking the Glass Bottom Shipwreck tour it is right across the street. The owner Kate is great and easy to work with. We have stayed other places over our years ...but this was our favorite.
We really enjoyed staying at this location it has an amazing view of the bay and it was close to many of the most popular attractions. The parking was great and convenient. The porch was ideal for enjoying the gorgeous view. I'd highly recommend this place.
The house is spotless and very nice. Plenty of space for 6 people. On the down side..... you have to share parking with the glass bottom boat company across the street, which the same people run. It would have been nice to have 2 spots reserved for the house right in front. There is no air conditioning which thankfully we really didn't miss too much. They did have fans. There is not enough silverware and they could use a bigger variety of cooking supplies. One that comes to mind is a colander. You have to ask for toilet paper at the glass bottom boat company and the limit is 8 rolls. There auto emails is not updated. The code for the front door was wrong on our email so we had to call to get the correct one.
Great place. Very clean, convenient, and much better than a hotel room.
This house worked great for our family of four with two teenage boys. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a full kitchen, dining, and living space allowed plenty of space and comfort. For the price it was much better than renting a hotel room. Parking is shared with the shipwreck tours, so the lot was busy but it didn't bother us too much. Could have used a bit more silverware and maybe some cereal bowls for when we used the kitchen and ate in. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this rental property for your vacation lodging needs.
So nice to be so close to everything. Close to town of Munising and to tour / rental boats. The place is amazingly clean and set up really nice. Nicely decorated, simple, great comfortable beds. Kate was easy and great to work with. Book this place. You will love it.

Wonderful stay. Super clean and comfy. Thanks so much for letting us stay. Walking distance to Muldoons, the Party store, the park is nice for little kids. The glass bottom gift shop has snacks and gifts. Would highly recommend. Thanks again!
