This is a great three-bedroom house with a pet-friendly, private back yard. It is very close to the main road it to the desert bike trails, and within a mile of downtown. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe (though there is some street noise if you're out in the excellent hot tub, due to that main road). We would definitely stay there again! The hosts were great and I appreciate that they didn't outsource the property management

This property is top notch. The home is beautifully decorated, clean and well stocked. A lot of properties advertise as pet friendly, but this one actually IS pet friendly, with a dog bed and filled water bowl on arrival. The yard and landscaping (which we have found to be lacking in most VRBO’s) was spectacular. Very quiet neighborhood and close to restaurants. We would 100% recommend and will definitely return in the future.

Location was great and the house was cute and a perfect sport for a little family. Kids loved the hot tub. There was some strong urine smells that started to invade one of the rooms and living room, and some ant traps would be very useful but other then that the house was great.

Thank you so much for your kind review. We’re so glad your family enjoyed the house and that the kids loved the hot tub — that means a lot to us. We sincerely apologize for the odor issue and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We have since addressed the source of the smell with a deep cleaning and treatment to make sure future guests have a more comfortable stay. We also appreciate the suggestion regarding ant traps and will be adding preventative measures as well. Thank you again for staying with us and for your helpful feedback. We’re happy to hear you otherwise had a great stay and hope to host your family again in the future.

Jake was wonderful and let us check in early. Welcomed us with drinks and snacks, which was very thoughtful! We also had a small issue and he was very communicative and attempted to resolve the problem, which we greatly appreciated. The house itself is very cozy, the kids enjoyed the hot tub and the nice backyard. Overall we had a lovely stay at Jake's place in Fruita.

Lovely home and decor. Very comfortable couch. Loved the beds and pillows. Very comfortable to sleep on. The bathrooms were very nice with all the amenities. Lots of towels and toilet paper. The patio and hot tub were awesome. There was only Streaming TV. No local channels but in a way that was good cuz my husband would have been watching TV all the time and didn't because of it.Kitchen just needed a few more pans for cooking and maybe a few more utensils.Coffee mugs are very small so we just bought some.Wine glasses would have been nice. When we arrived there were ant trays everywhere in the kitchen. Didn't have a problem with ants until the last day. I have sent a message to the host about it. I am sure they will take care of the problem. I had one other incident and they immediately took care of it.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for choosing to stay with us! We’re so glad you enjoyed the home’s décor, comfortable beds and pillows, bathrooms, patio, and hot tub. It’s wonderful to hear that you found the home comfortable and well-stocked for your stay. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the kitchen. Guest suggestions help us continue to improve the experience for everyone. We did want to mention that wine glasses are provided at the home, though we’re sorry they weren’t easy to locate during your stay. We’ll take a look at how they’re stored and see if we can make them easier for future guests to find. Thank you as well for bringing the ant activity to our attention. Due to the desert climate, we use preventative ant bait stations to help keep the home pest-free. We appreciate you letting us know about the activity you noticed near the end of your stay, and we’re addressing it promptly. We’re especially grateful for your kind comments about our responsiveness. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we would be delighted to welcome you back anytime you’re visiting the area.

Especially for a short notice, one night stay, Jake's place was perfect! Squeaky clean and surprisingly modern inside, it features every convenience possible for the road weary traveler. Between its hot tub, shade structure, cornhole, and immaculate turf, the backyard was a little oasis, especially for our pups. On top of all of the above, it's also located only a few minutes drive (or maybe a bike ride) from a number of good Fruita restaurants and watering holes. We'll definitely recommend Jake's place to friends visiting Western CO!
