Summary:

I took a perfectly nice little flat on a beautiful street and filled it with great things...I want my guests to feel less like they are at an Airbnb and more like their 'very tidy but quirky friend' gave them keys to the flat for a weekend away. Super easy access to Wrigley Field, the bustling Southport shopping corridor, and all of the 'Boystown' nightlife.



The Space:

PLEASE NOTE: this listing is for just the first floor of a two-level duplex flat (you will not share the flat with anyone else). We'll rope the lower level off during your stay. Let us know if you're interested in reserving both floors and we'll share the listing for the entire flat with you!

I've used my years of experience as a superhost and interior designer to set up this unique flat so that it includes all the comforts of home while embracing the quirky charm that only a vintage building can offer.



I believe in high standards of personal comfort, so you'll only find high thread count cotton sheets on the bed (usually a bit wrinkled, as I don't like you enough to iron them), comfortable feather pillows, a great mattress, and thick towels. The bath products are from Public Goods and seem to be universally liked. We also supply a good amount of coffee and some other little amenities to really make you feel looked after.



Please keep in mind that because my flat is located in a vintage urban building, you may occasionally find an errant cobweb or two on the lower level, in spite of my hardworking staff's best efforts. They clean the flat several times a week but you may still see the work of an enterprising critter pop up during your stay.

⚪ PARKING ⚪



One free parking spot is included with your stay.



If you'll bring more than one car, there's free street parking on our block and most residential blocks nearby except between 5-10pm on Cubs game nights and when there are special events at Wrigley Field. Be sure to move your car because the street will be a tow zone during those hours without a residential permit. Take care to check all signs nearby when parking because it's easy to get a ticket when parking rules are broken.



I also highly recommend using a service called SpotHero to reserve a spot nearby before you arrive.



⚪ CHECK-OUT ⚪



Unlike some other hosts, I won't ask you to wash the sheets, take out the trash, mow the lawn, or scrub anything. Check-out is at 11 AM.



Guest Access:

The upstairs level of the flat is yours. If you smoke we ask that you go off of the property (not outside of the back door).



Getting Around:

Although shops and restaurants are only a short walk away, the area feels peaceful and secluded. Because of my flat's central location, I recommend leaving your car at home. Any point of interest in Chicago can easily be reached by walking, public transit, or Uber.

A: Excellent public transit directions from my flat to any point in the city are available via web search. We're a short walk from the Addison Brown Line “L” train station. Search for “Addison Brown Line stop Chicago” in Maps, click the “Directions” button, then enter your point of interest.



Q: When is check-in/check-out?

A: Check-in: Your reservation and access to the apartment both begin at 4 p.m. on your check-in date.
