PARKING: Free street parking! Your best bet is to park in front of the house and back up as close to the telephone pole as possible, at the end of the dead-end street, or on nearby streets. Just avoid spots with cones or "parking chairs" (it's a Pittsburgh thing). There is also free parking across the river on Herr's Island (Washington Landing) at the parking lot under the 31st street bridge which is just a short carpool or rideshare away.
