à propos de cet hébergement
A Mystic Stay as Sweet as Apple Pie!
The Ship Carver Room is so uniquely curated! Itâs spacious with a KING-SIZED bed that youâll need to pull yourselves away from! Youâll have a cozy loveseat and a generous-sized smart TV to enjoy all to yourselves in your room. The ensuite bathroom is surprisingly large, offering plenty of room to get ready for a night out~ enjoy a glass of wine in the Tavern Room before you head out for the evening. All details were thought of with you in mind~ treat yourselves to pure New England hospitality!
My husband and I live in Mystic, an 8-minute drive from the 1807 Williams Home property. Even though you are set up for self-check-in, you may see one of us stop by to water outside plants if you are staying for more than a few days or bring the garbage cans out to the street if you are staying over on a Wednesday night. Don't worry- we are harmless and have the utmost respect for your privacy, so it's more likely you won't see us unless requested:)! If you seek answers, like suggestions, or even meet us, we are here for you and delight in sharing this lovely little village with visitors! We are available to help make your stay a perfect one!
Built by the relatives of one of the original families who settled on the east side of Mystic River, the 1807 Williams Home property oozes with history and character! Located in the original colonial settlement of Mystic or Head O' the River, the Smith Cottage at the 1807 Williams Home property is a short ride- 3 miles to sightseeing and Mystic eateries.
Do you desire a day to relax after traveling? Grab a tasty lunch to go from Mystic Market and one of our picnic baskets and head to Coogan Farm for a picnic.
If you enjoy walking, jogging, or biking as part of your get-away, the scenic River Road is just around the corner across the little bridge.
Ready to go out and explore? Spend a day at the Mystic Seaport Museum and immerse yourself in maritime history. See the ships and buildings that inspired our room names at the 1807 Williams Home and 1784 Denison Home & Carriage House next door.
Spend a day exploring the Mystic Aquarium and make a date with one of the Beluga Whales.
Are you craving a beach day? Pack one of our beach bags and towels and head to a local beach or one of Rhode Island's beaches- easily accessible with a 15-minute drive.
Venture out to one of the wineries or breweries for an afternoon sip and taste.
Do you crave a bit of nature during your Mystic stay? Walk one of the many scenic farms nearby.

Several last-of-its-kind treasures call Mystic their home.
The Mystic Seaport Museum is a must-see while you are here! The 1807 Williams Home rooms are named after maritime trades. The museum is home to five National Historic Landmark vessels: Charles W. Morgan- last whaling ship, Sabino Coal Steamer- last in regular operation in the U.S., L.A. Dunton, Joseph Conrad, and the Emma C. Berry. Our property next door to the 1807 Williams Home & Smith Cottage, the 1784 Denison Home, offers 5 guest rooms, all named in honor of these five vessels at the Mystic Seaport. The Carriage House, our newest offering behind the Denison Home in Old Mystic, has rooms themed after historic people of the time.
Also, Mystic is home to Clyde's Cider Mill- the oldest steam power cider mill in the U.S. This special mill draws crowds in the fall to see the steam engine in action.
Mystic is a one-of-a-kind place!
Private room accommodations at 1807 Williams Home property have access to a private bedroom, private bathroom, shared 1st floor living room, kitchen (light use), shared yard and shared parking.
You will receive full check-in instructions 4 days before your arrival date.
You will receive your Schlage lock keypad code 24 hours before arrival and you'll have a flexible check-in time.
Your room door has a lock and your key will be in your room upon arrival.
Like many of the homes in historical villages, there is no garage. The Williams Home guests have three parking spots in our driveway, one for each private room, and the Smith Cottage guests have two. Additional parking is available behind our property at the church lot or Haley's Way Park.
You have access to the shared parking, shared yard, your private guest room, private bathroom, and light use of the shared kitchen space. Help yourself to the microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, and of course, coffee maker and electric tea kettle.
Please note you use the side door opposite the driveway- on the other side of the house. You will walk between the main house and Smith Cottage on the gravel path to access the other side door, which faces the red property next door.
***Please don't try to use the side on the driveway side with the stone steps- this is a private door entrance for the Cordage Suite guests only.***

The history buff in you will love the story behind the 1807 Williams Home. The building started out as the Wayside Inn, a regular stopping point for stagecoaches on their New London-Providence runs. On January 17, 1840, former Secretary of State Daniel Webster, traveling by sleigh, stopped in for a drink on his way to the Groton Ferry to catch a boat to New York!
