Loved the location of the condo, specifically for the view. We didn't get to enjoy the balcony much because of the strong cigarette and Marijuana smell/smoke from somewhere close, at all hours of the day and night! The condo had some upgrades in process and some of the furniture was worn but otherwise a comfortable stay.
First time staying in this unit but third time at the complex. Thoroughly loved the unit and the views. Nothing beats seeing dolphins every day from the balcony. Always beautiful views between sunrises and sunsets
Property was adequate and furnished same. Perfect size for no more than two people. LR tv worked well. We didnât use the BR tv. Ceiling fans only worked on high speed. Fan on stove top was missing. No lock on sliding storm door. Had to call for code for key lock box upon arrival. Response was prompt. Second key was not left on kitchen counter upon arrival. Had to alert manager. Linens were clean. Kitchen was clean. Nice little refrigerator. The number one complaint was the number of cockroaches in the unit. It needs infestation control. They were seen in every room and one on the bed. They were climbing on the living room mirrors, kitchen floor, bathroom and kitchen floors. A definite turn off. If it werenât for that it was a cute little place at a very affordable price. Dolphins, to boot!
Wonderful ocean view but awful walk from parking lot
Great view of dolphin, fishing boats and commercial ships in an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean from the balcony of this unfinished condo. The walk from the parking lot was several hundred feet making some kind of a cart a near necessity. We travel heavy with some of our stuff in boxes without wheels. Owner - a big strapping guy - did assist our departure. Almost the entire old wooden building consists of short-term rentals. Our unit was unfinished, with bare wood in several places, empty hole where deadbolt lock should have been, ancient furniture and tiny breakfast bar. Chairs on balcony were missing slats. Still, great view.
Property was great. Georgia was unseasonably hot. Couldn't enjoy much outdoors. The pool we used wasn't clean and the water so warm it wasnât enjoyable.
The villa was fantastic. The view was unmatched, we were able to see countless dolphins from the balcony. The room was very clean and had everything you could need. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to be back again in the future.
We have stayed at the Savannah beach and racquet club many, many times. It is our favorite vacation spot. This unit was clean and had everything we needed. A big plus was some of the small items in the unit âlike coffee, dry creamer and sugar. This unit has new looking deck chairs where we sat and watched boats, dolphins and sunsets. Binoculars would be a plusâunits Iâve stayed in in the past had them. Makes seeing the dolphins easier. Nice kitchen and living areas! We would stay here again if itâs available!
We returned to this property on Tybee Island for the second time, following our trip last July. We found early spring to be an excellent time to visit the area, with beautiful weather and no Spring Break crowds! This is a great spot to enjoy the beach, including from the deck and living space! The owner was very helpful, quickly responding to a question we had. Hope we can return again someday soon!
We stay at SBRC quite often. Knowing the layout of the buildings affords a big advantage when booking this property. This third floor ocean front unit was dated as many have said, but it was also very clean. The biggest advantage is the price point. It made for a very affordable weekend getaway for St.Patricks Day. In walking distance to Huc A Poos, Zunzibar, North Beach and many others. If you love the north side of the island and dolphin watching like we do, this is a great pick.
Basics are met. Property description is accurate. No notice that pool plus pool area closed or outside door painting occurring. Clear that updates are in processococcurring to
Overall, this place was perfect. We rented a bicycle to get around the island, everything was easy to find. Our view from the balcony was nice. We know not to expect great warmth when we visit in February, but we really needed to get away and celebrate my husband's birthday! The facility was clean, the property was clean and being repainted. Our space was nice-had everything we needed.
We stayed in this unit on 2/15-2/21/25. The location & view was great, but it was filthy, there was mold, the paneling on the walls was blushing due to moisture, there was no trim around the sliding door to balcony, the wind blew through and blew the curtains around. Attempted to reach owners, phone# listed in unit was wrong.
It appeared there was some âwork in progressâ going on in the unit regarding the doors. The biggest issue for us was the lack of solid locks on the doors. The front door lock was simply a doorknob lock. There was no deadbolt (the outer deadbolt hardware was there but no inner hardware/deadbolt - the hole was empty) nor any chain or security latch. The âlockâ for the balcony slider door was wedging a wooden board in the door. Again, the lock hardware for the slider door was there but the connecting lock part in the frame was not there (appeared it was a new door where the installation wasnât quite complete). Not that the weather was good for swimming but the pool was under construction so empty & torn up (it did offer use of the neighboring resortâs pool so that was something). In regards to the above items, just some up-front communication about those items would have been appreciated. Other things: There was also supposed to be a 2nd set of the key & gate card in the unit but we did not see that; the toilet had a broken piece internally which sometimes caused the chain to get stuck in the flapper so it would continue to run and not shut off; the sconce light switches on the wall had no knobs; the stove vent had no light because the switch was missing. These were just several things we noticed that could/should have been finished or simply fixed.Overall the unit was very clean and nice. Loved the balcony area and The view was absolutely awesome!
The condo was in the perfect place. Beautiful view! Sunsets are amazing. There seems to be a few projects that are process, but overall a nice place to stay.
Second time staying here. We love the views, sunsets, and dolphins playing. Good communication with owner and made himself available to help with issue we had with TV. We just wished the window to the outside from bedroom was tinted more to prevent light from coming in from security light( we like a dark bedroom). Also, needs better pictures of the condo because current pictures doesnât do it justice. Definitely would stay here again.
We're Hoosiers with a love for the beach, so when we found this beautiful oceanfront condo we knew it was a place we'd like to be able to share with others.
We love Tybee Island for its unique location... you are on the beach, away from it all. But if you want a little more excitement, downtown Savannah is less than 20 minutes away!
Watch the dolphins play for hours from the balcony. The condo faces the water, about 1 mile past where the Savannah River and Little Back River meet the Atlantic Ocean. Watch huge cargo ships on their way to the Port of Savannah, shrimp boats, and every kind of recreational watercraft out there.
