Escape to this peaceful mountain retreat in the private Gateway Mountain community. The remodeled cabin offers a quiet and comfortable base for exploring Old Fort, Black Mountain, and Asheville along with the numerous outdoor adventure opportunities nearby. The spacious screened porch has a hot tub and smart TV with a seating area and fire table. It`s great for year-round indoor/outdoor gathering. This escape is perfect for families, small groups, and pet owners seeking a relaxing getaway.
This 1,291-square-foot cabin features a warm and inviting interior with modern amenities. The open living area includes a wood-burning fireplace, comfortable seating, and a smart TV for streaming. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed for meal preparation, including an oven, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, Keurig and drip coffee makers, and essential cookware.

The primary king bedroom is upstairs with an ensuite bathroom and large walk-in closet. The bunk bedroom and full bedroom on the main floor share a bathroom with shower/tub combo.
Gateway Mountain is a private, nature-focused residential community offering peace, privacy, and scenic surroundings. Located in Old Fort, it provides convenient access to hiking trails, waterfalls, and mountain viewpoints. The community is surrounded by outdoor attractions in all directions. It`s a short drive to the center of Old Fort as well as Black Mountainâs locally owned shops and restaurants and is within easy reach of Ashevilleâs breweries, food, and arts scene.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Guests must purchase a small non-refundable damage waiver instead of a large security deposit. Pets are welcome with a $110 non-refundable fee.

We ask that you treat the property with respect. This is a private residence. Please act as though you are a guest in someoneâs home. :) Also, please acknowledge the following:
NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. If this rule is not followed, you will be immediately removed from the property without refunds or compensation.
QUIET HOURS 10:00 PM - 9:00 AM. If any noise complaints are reported, you can expect a warning communication. If a second noise violation/complaint occurs, your reservation may be terminated.
MINIMUM BOOKING AGE IS 25. If you are under 25, do not make a reservation without contacting us for pre-approval. Failure to do so may result in termination of your reservation.
LOCAL RESIDENTS REQUIRE APPROVAL. If you live within 30 miles of the property, you must contact us for pre-approval. Otherwise, we reserve the right to terminate reservations made by local residents.
GUEST TOTAL MUST MATCH BOOKING. The correct number of guests must be on the reservation - This includes all guests entering the property at any point during the stay.
NO SMOKING OR DRUG USE. If smoking or drug use is detected inside the property after your check-out, we will request additional money for cleaning and/or file a claim against you for damages.
PETS ALLOWED. We welcome well-behaved pets. Please clean up after your pet outside and inside. If you must allow your pets on furniture, please cover the furniture with YOUR OWN blanket or towel. The pet fee does NOT include animal waste cleanup or stains on bedding, towels, or upholstery.
GUESTS ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY. By placing a reservation, you agree that all guests expressly assume the risk of harm or adverse events that may arise during the use of this property. Guests understand that they may purchase travel insurance to protect themselves in such situations. This insurance is not automatically provided or implied with your reservation. The property owners or managers are not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur.
CHECK OUT ON TIME. Our cleaners are on a tight schedule and need to work in preparation for our next guests. If you require an earlier check-in or a later check-out, please request it in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. Otherwise, we reserve the right to charge a $50 late check-out fee. Any guest who is still on the property after 2:00 pm on check-out day will be automatically charged for an extra night.
