Cute little cabin - Perfect location right on the lake and an easy drive to whatever we needed. Our little pup absolutely loved being able to hang out on the screened in porch our whole stay!
The cabin was the perfect getaway, access to fishing with a canoe ,kyack and peace on a lakeside waterfront property day and night ! The hosts and rental team were beyond helpful and great to work with beyond our expectations ! Ease of check in/ check out town and nearby events places to go see were thoroughly , professionally covered and offered to us by the host and rental agent! We appreciated the host and rental teams accessibility 24/7 and any all assistance which also made our stay peaceful, relaxed and a perfect getaway much needed R&R. Everything was answered listed and covered in the instructions before- during &after our stay. There was so much to do in a day there or out and about in the area nonstop fun and the people we met were amazing ,helpful & friendly ! We can't wait to go back!
This is a great little cabin, right on the water and private. My only reason for 4 v 5 stars is that the area around the cabin is very shady, with very little sun - but it was hot, so that was OK. The water is beautiful, the location is great. No TV or wi-fi - so bring books or enjoy the cheesy old DVDs :-)
My recent weekend stay at this lakefront cabin on Rangeley Lake was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the tranquil setting. The cabin had its own private steps leading directly into the lakeâa huge plus for easy swims and enjoying the water.
We particularly appreciated the shade around the cabin, providing a cool and comfortable retreat even on sunny days. It was also nice to find something pet friendly. If you're looking for a peaceful, scenic, and accommodating getaway in northern Maine, especially if you have pets, I highly recommend this cabin!
This little cottage was exactly what we needed after camping for a few days in the woods. Just a quiet little cottage tucked back on the lake. It was clean and had all the essentias. I loved just sitting on the enclosed porch watching the lake, seagulls, and we also had a mom duck and her ducklings that hung out. We fished and caught a few fish, including a little brook trout. All around awesome little spot.We would have loved to stay longer.
Thanks for the great stay!!
A small cabin, just perfect for two people. Great location on the lake, in a quilter cove. This cabin is surrounded by trees, so it has some privacy. Very clean, good appliances, comfy bed.
Nice comfortable little cottage. Well appointed with everything you need. Parking wasn't the best and would be nice to know you had to carry supplies to the cottage. A garden cart would help. #8 is the best of the cottages, The most private and shaded. Mid summer weekends can be party central at the mouth of the river. Overall a nice experience.
Cottage was charming, very clean, had everything you needed. Great water pressure and hot water. Nice screened porch, spent a lot of time there. Beds were small, no larger than a double bed. Futon mattress needs replacing.
Area is beautiful, great water views with some tree privacy. Only drawback to property is the constant logging and other trucks you can hear all day since itâs not too far from the road.
Overall, itâs a rustic but nice cottage and we were very happy with our stay.
Everything you need in an inexpensive lakeside retreat
Cozy, comfortable lakeside retreat. Even though next cabin is about 10 feet away, we were never bothered by noise and the screen porch gave a lovely view (framed by trees)of the the lake not 10 feet away. I think it is a better cabin than the ones on open lawn, as it feels more secluded. Kitchen adequately equipped for basic cooking and the heating unit is quiet and unobtrusive when called upon. Four could sleep very comfortably -- six in a pinch but it would be crowded. Windows all work and screens in very good shape. Very close to town yet quiet enough to hear the loon calls. I would definitely come back!
If you haven't seen the movie On Golden Pond, you can watch it on YouTube. You'll know exactly what to expect for decor and ambience. This was an exceptional experience! Someone posted about the screen door slamming each time you closed it. My Great Grandparents door did the same, when I didn't control it. I felt like that excited little kid, each time I heard it. We rarely went inside. The screen porch was too peaceful. The loon sounds were mesmerizing. Don't be envious that you have less sun. You'll be happy when you go to sleep. There's a little walk to the camp, but a lot more privacy. If you are used to five star lodging, don't bother yourself. If you want the true Maine experience, this is it! You'll need nothing except an extra fan and some floats for the water. You need to be ready to unplug from real life. One spot on the screen porch allowed for me to use my phone and the internet. Fortunately, town is 7 minutes away. The town is charming and the people are friendly. We needed maintenance for something small. The managing company were top notch. They were gracious and responded immediately. The men they sent were patient, efficient, polite, and very kind! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Other than an ant or two, we didn't have an issue with mosquitoes, moths or flying pests. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. The owner was also responsive and cares that your stay is worth it to you. We brought our two dogs. They loved it too!
Beautiful location on Rangeley lake. Short ride to Grocery store, IGA . Weather was 68-75, wonderful
Cozy , efficient cabin. Comfortable bed. We had no need for the heat. Enjoyed daily visits of loons and wild ducks. Appreciate the use of the canoe. Our week visit went by quickly.
