The cabin has been renovated to perfection as well as the surrounding Quimby camp. This property is very picturesque with all immensities making this spot a great place to stay.I highly recommend this as a choice for your next visit in The Rangeley Lakes Region.
Grey Wulff was a cozy cabin with great views. Everything was clean and as expected. We really enjoyed our stay and waking up to the loons. Hosts were very responsive and kind during interactions.
The cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed and nothing we didnât, like a television. You could sit on the porch watching ripples of water in the pond, listen to a loon call, and become oblivious to the chaos of the outer world. This place is a gem!
My fishing buddy and I stayed in the Gray Wulff cottage on Quimby Pond. This proved to be the perfect base for our early-morning-to-evening fishing. We even caught a bunch of trout casting dry flies on Quimby Pond. The cottage was clean, comfortable,, well-equipped, and utterly charming. Communication from VRBO hosts was before, during, and after our stay was stunningly good. Highly recommended!
We really appreciated the lake view and the availability of canoes and kayaks. Very relaxing retreat! The kitchen was well stocked, and all the knives were very sharp. Our only complaint is that the cabin was a little dusty. The mattresses could also use an upgrade. But overall, great lake retreat.
The peace and beauty of the Rangeley area provide the perfect bsckdrop for a memorable stay. Sitting on the front porch at the cabin and looking out over the pond was one of our favorite activities. We listened to the call of the loons at night and explored the area during the day. We sighted moose several times off Highway 16.
Our check-in and check-out was smooth and everyone in the cabin area was very friendly. Our precious lab enjoyed the stay as much as we did!
We highly recommend this property! Quaint, historic, surrounded by beauty and wilderness, yet provides everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Great location right on Quimby Pond. No Wi-Fi but cellular signal good so can access cell hotspot for connectivity. Cabin is well equipped with exception of a tv. Canoe and kayak supplied. July water temp to warm to fish-need to drive to Malloway River (Rt 16 N) 35 minute drive for trout or Salmon. My wife is handicapped and uses a rollator and walker to get around. Doors in cabin are to narrow to go through with rollator and have to go sideways to go through with walker. Bathroom is also tight to get around with a walker. Overall a very nice, quiet and scenic location
This was my first "Upta Camp" experience. I wasn't familiar with this part of Maine, so I wasn't sure what to expect. There aren't enough superlatives to describe how I feel about Gray Wulff! Rustic for sure, but it's a darling little cozy cabin right on the pond with a porch and rocking chairs. I love that it is one of the original camps; feel I got an authentic experience. The pictures were true to what I encountered when I arrived (with the exception of the orange couch which I learned from my neighbor had recently been replaced). Loved sitting out on the shared dock. So quiet and peaceful. When I come back to the area, I will definitely stay here again!
We had a very relaxing and pleasant stay. We had a few days of friends visiting sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs..looking right out at the pond. Very quiet and peaceful. Canoeing we saw loons. Beautiful! Check out day came and I couldn't find our cat. Thankfully no one was checking in behind me so Morton and Furbish allowed me to stay until I found him..five hours later! I'm sure he would be there still today if I hadn't opened that can of tuna and there he was. He appeared like a genie from a bottle! How he got inside that can I'll never know!
A great cabin for our family to spend a long weekend. Close by to paddling (Kennebago River) Hiking (Bald Mountain), the playground and store in Oquossoc, and entertainment (Moose Alley!) The pond is quiet and we watched a pair of loons. The cabin is rustic but very comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped for cooking meals. We'll definitely come back!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Gray Wulff. The view of the pond from the porch is incredible, especially with the loons for company. The cabin was comfortable and well-equipped. Very much enjoyed kayaking and canoeing. Recommend highly.
Beautiful spot! Other than you couldnât swim there, which was fine , it was beautiful and quiet. We all needed to relax and unwind and we got just that! Would definitely come back and I will definitely tell others.
Our yearly trip to Rangeley turned out just right. Our extended family flew in from California and stayed at the family's cabin on Mooselookmeguntic Lake and we needed extra space for our family close by. What a great place and perfectly priced. Cozy, quaint and very comfortable right on the pond, 10 minutes from the family's place on the lake. and less than 10 minutes into the main part of Rangeley. The second we pulled up to the cabin we were impressed and it just got better from there. The front room is open concept living room and kitchen area with a high cathedral ceiling accommodating a nice sized loft with two twin beds that my 12 year old son claimed and loved. Then behind that, two bedrooms separated by a jack and jill bathroom. The shower could have been a little bigger but we were so happy to have one at all (since the family cabin is typically off limits due to water conservation issues!) My older son took the other bedroom with the two twin beds - so we could have fit 6 if necessary. All of the walls were stained wood slat board and gave the place a warm inviting atmosphere. The kitchen adorable with great appliances, full fridge, microwave, coffee maker - pots, pans etc. We all loved it and we would definitely return or recommend it. Don't forget to bring towels!
We happened to plan our fishing trip at a time when Rangeley Maine happened to receive its last snow fall of the season! The point is, we had a wonderful warm cabin with a nice wood burning fire to retreat to. The cabin was everything we could have hoped for. It was idyllic in the sense of what one would picture as the classic North woods cabin. We loved it, even though there were white caps on the pond and snow was covering the front porch. The only issue was the canoe that was promised in the advertisement. I had specifically asked the property management and they said they would include information in our rental packet. Evidently they forgot. We had a great time anyway.
