Sand Cay stay

We loved the Sand Cay resort. Our unit was very clean - it could us a little updating, but for a short term rental, we were very happy there. Thank you for the wonderful vacation - we hope to return to Sand Cay.

Amazing location

While the condo itself is a little outdated, it was very comfortable for our family of 4. The location is absolutely fantastic. Wish there were keypad locks rather than keyed locks which automatically lock behind you (we got locked out the first night) but the property is well equipped, very clean, and steps from the beach.

Good stay

Loved the easy access to the beach, and the fact that there were chairs and umbrellas to use! AC didn’t work super great, but it was ok until it got super hot outside. Could use a washer and dryer inside, if ever interested in doing that.

HVAC unit needs to be replaced as it wouldn’t hold a temperature and the unit warmed to over 80 degrees every day

Quiet and beautiful

Our stat was short and sweet, only 3 days. Beach was quiet not too many people. Weather was beautiful. Our condo was clean. So nice that you allowed for a shorter stay not many places will! Appreciated that!

June Vacation

Nice place. Convenient access to the beach. Clean and seems to be maintained well on the exterior. We did have an issue with an exhaust fan in the bathroom that we asked to be looked at and never heard from them. Other than that a nice quiet family friendly atmosphere. The free lounge chairs were very nice to have use of on the beach. Would stay here again. Some rooms have a better view of the ocean as did this one.

Memorial Day weekend

This is our second time to stay at this property on longboat key. Everything went well. Our view of the ocean was beautiful. The proximity to the beach and ease of getting little kids back and forth from the beach easily is the main reason we stay here. I also like how everything is funneled into a communal space with the pool, the grills, grass running space, etc—it creates a very positive vibe. I would definitely bring my family back for more fun here in the future.

This time we wanted to stay a week, but rented for a little longer because the unit was available for 9 nights. So very glad we did! We just didn’t want to leave. Our daughter and her family were able to join us for a few nights for a very memorable vacation.

A Lovely Stay

Our unit was fairly well equipped and provided a comfortable stay. We did have a few light switches that appeared to not work or bulb burnt out, also the master bedroom mattress made my back a bit angry. Other that that all was great.

This property was such a disappointment. Not clean, Blinds in LR and Sliding door not working. Carpet dirty and lacking proper backing. Found bedding not changed, huge stains in mattress pad, sheets and comforter.Air conditioning not working properly. THIS UNIT NEEDS CLEANING AND UPDATING. VERY POOR CONDITION.

We felt safe - the property was not too crowded, guests maintained their distance and masks were worn when inside the office. It was so nice to be outside; on the beach, in the pool, playing tennis & shuffleboard. The Longboat Key area is much less crowded than nearby Anna Maria Island. The sunsets were beautiful.

Beautiful condo, well equipped and decorated very nicely. Location on beach is perfection. Amenities abound. Staff was so friendly and helpful! Nice shipping at St Armand's Circle is very close. Restaurants, also. A Publix is located about 5 minutes away so cooking in condo was very easy.We are already planning on next year!

Annual week's trip with long time friends

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was adequate but unimpressive. Outdated, no ceiling fans, dingy carpet, several burned out light bulbs. But our biggest complaint was the lack of a high top table on the balcony. We couldn't see over the balcony wall. The vertical blinds on the balcony doors did not work well and a long cord was exposed /hanging which could be a hazard for small children. The staff was very cordial and accommodating and noted that we should have told them about the blinds and light bulbs and they would have resolved it. So it was our choice not to notify them. (too busy enjoying the beach and the beautiful island) The grounds were beautiful, as was the beach. The other tenants were quite friendly. Excellent parking. Would definitely consider Sand Cay again but not this unit.
