Ave Charles. A 20 minutes à pied du quartier français ou Morial Convention Center. Proche de l'avenue St Charles tramway et bus Magazine st permet de Voyage facile monter ou descendre la riviÚre dans la ville de croissant.

Bucket list trip

Great host first of all. The location was perfect. Close enough to any and all possible entertainment venues but extremely quiet at night!! Walkable to streetcar stops, walkable safely for an evening cocktail as well. Parking was decent for NOLA and free at this location. Front porch to chill on, gated front area. Would and probably will return with this being our first pick.

Charlotte's Trip

THis waws a phenomenal place to stay. Our host was fantastic. This 1 bedroom apartment (half of a duplex) was beautiful inside and out. Very safe neighborhood. I block from eateries and ships on Magazine street in the Garden District. 10 minute drive to downtown. 30 minute walk there, We loved our stay and would recommend it to our friends easily! Thank you, Jack!

WARNING!!! UNCLEAN / UNSANITARY / UNCOMFORTABLE/ UNTRUTHFUL HOST!

We felt upon seeing the location & price for this unit it was a good deal. Turns out you get what you pay for. Location good. But the condition of the unit upon our arriving for a month’s stay was really bad! Have pictures. So many things were not cleansed or not working. Contacted the owner right away, sent him pics and told him we could not stay. He apologized and promised “a full refund”. We hastily, and expensively, had to find another place. Days later he contacted us and said he had the place cleaned and things in working order and if we returned he would give us 50% off the rental. Having no other place to go for the rest of the month we reluctantly agreed. What a mistake that turned out to be! Upon returning some things had been cleaned and the TV (service) was now working. But found the bed was cheap and uncomfortable as well as the sofa, the floors not cleaned, the garage disposal did not work, the toaster oven was old and disgusting, same for the outside of refrigerator. What made matters even worse were the two constantly barking dogs, day and night, just next door. Owner conveniently left a supply of disposable earplugs next to the bed so one could get some rest! We could not take it anymore and after a short time we went home early. We have been constantly contacting both the owner and VRBO for our 50% refund, which we have documented proof from the owner we’d get, and he’s refusing to honor his full promise. No help yet from VRBO after filing a claim.

Great Location

We enjoyed staying in this unit. The location is great - off Jackson, between St. Charles and Magazine. When a problem arose with the unit, the owner responded and we reached a resolution I recommend this property if you want to be in the lower garden district.

Perfect for our stay

Our son was graduating from Tulane and this was the perfect place for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen area was well stocked. The home is located in a very safe neighborhood Just a few blocks away from where my son lives. I would definitely stay here again. Jack was very easy to communicate with.

Awesome owner and property in Garden District

Really enjoyed Jack’s place! The Garden District is the best place to stay in NOLA. Great restaurants, took trolley to and from Audubon Park. Jack is an awesome guy and lives in other space in this duplex. He thought of everything: hand soaps, maps, shopping bags, etc. highly recommend.

Nicest accommodations we have had in NOLA. Great space. Ecclectically decorated. Porch was great for sitting and enjoying the Spring. Our dog was very comfortable--happy to spend time in the front yard and greet passing people and dogs. Kitchen worked very well for staying a month. Lots of places to walk and see the garden district. Easy transit to Canal Street. Got to enjoy a flying burrito and several District Donuts--many very casual places to eat along Magazine St. Thanks Jack, you've put together a very comfortable place.

Mardi Gras week

The property was exactly as advertised. The location was very close to restaurants and shopping and within walking distance to a bus line or the street car system. The property was up to date and had all the requirements needed for a great stay. The owner was very helpful and there for any question we had. I would highly recommend this location to anyone coming to New Orleans whatever time of year. You will be quite happy. The property has the charm of old New Orleans.

Lower Garden District

Overall great stay at Jack’s place. Communication with Jack was easy and had no difficulties getting into the place. Everything was accurate to the pictures listed. The area felt safe and quiet and was positioned in a great location to travel around New Orleans. I would recommend staying here!

Another great stay

This is my second stay at the property. I hope it becomes my annual tradition. Not sure what all to say. It’s a nice, easy place to hang your hat. You can’t beat the location. It has all you will need. And working with Jack, always pleasant. Merry Christmas.

Historic Modern

This was our first trip to NOLA and we had no idea the relative location of anything. It turned out staying here was the best decision we could have made. Not only was the apartment historic modern, it is close to the streetcar and nearby restaurants. Jack is the best host you could ask for and we were well taken care of. We hope to return to NOLA and would stay here again.

Perfect location & great space

Jack is a fantastic host. He is super helpful. The property is super close to magazine st and loads of places to eat and shop, yet tucked away in quiet area. It’s in walking distance to the street car to go in town. Sleeping, lounging and bathroom facilities was just right for me. Love the wood floors and high ceilings. I’d definitely stay again!

New Orleans Garden District Visit

Spacious, clean, up-to-date property. Great location. Nice host. Wonderful New Orleans charm with fireplace in bedroom and neat wall adornments. On-street parking, as listed, causes a little juggling but this is typical for New Orleans.

Excellent location to everything - great host

Everything we wanted it to be. Jack is a great guy and very helpful and friendly. The space was perfect for my wife and I. We felt like we were family in the neighborhood. A lot of places close by and not far from everything in NOLA.
