Super nice place, close to everything downtown. The check in and check out process was super easy. We really enjoyed it! Will book again next time I come to Des Moise!

Clumps of dust found, dishes in the washer, cleaning supplies left in washer. Found a lighter in the bed. Shower was clogged and wouldn’t drain. Almost got towed in the morning . Couldn’t find the remote for tv. Not a good experience .

First we had a hard time checking in. It’s unclear which of the 3 buildings to enter and our security code didn’t work. While we did get a customer service agent on the phone quickly, it was difficult to understand them. It took several tries to get a working code. And then the apartment. Yuck. The carpet had stains or burns or something - very dirty. When we sat on the couch and it was dirty. There were barely enough towels for the 3 of us - it was dirty and gross. They agreed on the phone to allow us to cancel the reservation but now we are having to fight for the promised refund. Super disappointing.

Comminication was great! We had a couple little hiccups along the way, but she resolved everything quickly. I also made a couple little suggestions on small amenities that we felt would have made our stay even better. She seemed very open to our suggestions, and vowed to include them in the future. It was a very central location to our event, and I loved how easy it was to get in and out of the place, and to other places in the Des Moines area. We already plan on booking it for our stay next year!

Pros: - great location for easy access to surrounding Des Moines area. - Spacious apartment. Cons: If you like quiet, this place is NOT for you! you can hear traffic all night long and you can even feel the traffic go by as well, the floor and wall would even vibrate and rattle sometimes depending on the type of vehicle that goes by! I ended up wearing ear plugs to decrease the noise so I could sleep a little bit… The apartment flooring was not clean…there was debris under the living sofa. The vinyl flooring in the living room, dining room, and kitchen was not clean…my white socks were filthy in the first hour that we were in the space. I ended up wearing my flip flops the rest of the time. The carpeted bedrooms had not been vacuumed prior to us arriving and the carpet in NEED of a good shampoo since there generalized stains throughout both rooms. We needed up only staying in the “cleaner” of the two rooms.

There was a little mix up with email, and i didn't receive the checkin email. I reached out and vrbo text it to me very quickly. I have a pending credit, that i should have already received, but have not yet, so for that reason I have rated it 4 stars. I was hoping everything would be resolved before i got this notification to rate my stay. I am hopeful that my credit will be posted soon! When reaching out, the host tells me to reach out to VRBO support and VRBO support says they see that the credit has been confirmed, but my account is still not reflecting the credit, its been 7 days. I am trying to be optimistic and patient. Otherwise this place was perfect! Thank you

I wanted this to be a higher rating. Check in was smooth. Upon arrival, I noticed the beds were very dirty with dirt and hair. Almost like someone staying before had made the beds and the cleaners didn’t think to check if they had been used. Also, I attempted to use the washer and it started making a horrible banging noise so that wasn’t an option. I notified the host and they said someone would be out the next day. I wasn’t going to sleep in used sheets so I went out and got my own bedding. The next day, no one had shown up so I messaged the host again. They responded apologizing for the delay and asking if anyone had been by. I responded no and then I never heard anything again the entire stay. Other areas of the place also seemed to be ignored by cleaners like under the couch and baseboards. Even the cleaning closet was in disorray with sheets just being tossed in it and something inside the mop bucket. Not that we used anything in it but it didn’t leave a very good impression. I was told I would receive a refund for at least one night and I haven’t received it or heard anything about that either. It’s been 3 weeks now. The place has potential with better cleaners and possibly more amenities. Some chairs on the balcony would’ve been a nice addition and the kitchen utensils were limited but the biggest one for me was they had no washcloths in the rooms. I’ve never been anywhere where that was the case.
