À propos de cet hébergement

Notre place est sur la rive du lac Moosehead à travers feom Mt. Kineo. Vous allez adorer cet endroit en raison du confort et de la sensation rustique. Ce camp est bon pour les couples, les aventuriers en solo et les familles (avec enfants). Vous pourrez utiliser le barbecue, profiter d'une cheminée extérieure et amarrer un bateau sur le quai.

Nous sommes tellement excités que vous avez choisi de vous détendre dans un endroit que nous pensons être le paradis sur terre. Quelques informations de base sur la maison:

Le poêle à bois est pour l'ambiance visuelle. Il n'est actuellement pas fonctionnel, donc n'essayez pas de l'utiliser.

Nous vous recommandons d'utiliser de l'eau en bouteille pour boire et cuisiner. Il est sans danger pour le brossage des dents et le lavage de la vaisselle.

Un extincteur est accroché au mur près du porche arrière. Il y a une trousse de premiers soins sous l'évier dans la salle de bain, ainsi que du Benadryl et de l'acétaminophène. Il y a trois détecteurs de fumée dans la maison (l'un est un détecteur de monoxyde de carbone). Ils fonctionnent sur batterie et ne doivent JAMAIS être modifiés.

Canoës / kayaks - Il y a deux canoës et deux kayaks à utiliser, situés au camp voisin (kayaks près du camp, canoës près de la pointe). Les gilets de sauvetage et les pagaies seront situés sur le porche à côté. Il est impératif que vous portiez vos gilets de sauvetage en tout temps et soyez extrêmement prudent et diligent lorsque vous décidez de naviguer sur ce lac. S'il y a des casquettes blanches, nous ne conseillerions pas d'essayer de naviguer. Ce lac demande respect et prudence.

Gril à gaz - Vous êtes invités à utiliser le gril à gaz pour cuisiner. Le foyer extérieur est disponible mais vous devez apporter votre propre bois de chauffage.

Vous êtes invités à utiliser le point situé sur la propriété adjacente pour la baignade. Juste une courte promenade vers le lancement de bateau public est une petite plage pour la baignade et est plus adaptée aux jeunes enfants. Juste à gauche de cette plage se trouve un quai privé (BLANC) que vous pouvez utiliser pendant votre séjour.

La pompe à chaleur sur le mur est pour la chaleur et l'air froid. Faites glisser la télécommande face vers le bas pour les commandes. Il y a un ventilateur dans le placard arrière.

Il n'y a pas de wi-fi mais vous obtiendrez un signal faible du camp adjacent. Le mot de passe est fourni lors de l'enregistrement.

Choses que vous voudrez peut-être apporter: serviettes en papier, papier hygiénique, sacs poubelles, bois de chauffage, eau (cruches de gallon), toute la nourriture et les boissons, crème solaire, spray anti-insectes, appareil photo, shampoing et articles de toilette, sèche-cheveux et détergent à lessive.

Il y a beaucoup de filtres à café et de sucre.

Amazing Stay!

Our family of four had an amazing time! We had a very nice welcome from the hosts. The location on the lake was stunning…we enjoyed swimming right from the property and kayaking. The house was well equipped and very comfortable! We didn’t want to leave. The area has so much to offer…we hiked, went boating, ATVing, and mountain biking! We hope to come back again some day!

Location, location, location!

The location was fabulous. directly across Moosehead Lake from Mt. Kineo. The house was rustic, beds were comfortable and all appliances worked. We had a fire one night and could see the Milky Way in the dark sky.

The perfect location!

We spent a week here in late August and it was the perfect family getaway in the perfect location! The location has a large grass lawn to play games in or layout in the sun. You can swim right off the point and/or launch your paddleboard or kayak. The best part is overlooking the gorgeous lake and Mount Kineo right across the way! With the firepit we would get a fire going and watch the sunlight setting against the rock face across the lake. We also walked to the small town beach and to the boat launch where you can ride the ferry to Mount Kineo State Park and golf course (though we don't golf). Overall a very quite, very private, and just perfect location for those looking to get away! The cabin itself had everything we would need including most kitchen supplies, which was nice. The kids slept in the upstairs loft which has twin beds, they liked being up there. We enjoyed the screened in porch and would sit there in the evenings and just listen to the lake sounds. Tracey and Guy were accommodating hosts and responded very promptly to my one question early in the week. We got to meet them on the final weekend and other than that we were left to our own, which was great! I would recommend this location to anyone wanting a prime lake front location, with or without kids, and just RELAX for a week!

Moosehead Tranquility

The cabin and its location were perfect. The first and last thing you see each day is Mt Kineo which was beautiful. We not only got to canoe to it, but took the ferry (in walking distance) to hike it. Everything needed for a week of rest and relaxation was provided at the cabin. Tracey and Guy thought of everything!

Fell in love with Mooshead Lake

We absolutely loved our vacation on Mooshead Lake, the camp was perfect for our family. It had everything we needed and is a perfect quite spot with amazing views. We enjoyed the beach and fire pit daily, and if you have a boat the lake is just phenomenal! My only complaint was that the camp needed a good cleaning, but luckily they had cleaning stuff/vacuum and we did so daily! We just fell in love with the lake and plan on vacationing on Mooshead yearly!

Lake living at its finest

We had a lovely week at this adorable lake house. The view of Mt. Kineo was spectacular! We loved hearing the loons at night and watching sunrises and sunsets across the lake. Nothing better than enjoying the view while having coffee on the screen porch in the mornings and campfires at night. The cottage was sparkling clean, and the hosts were super nice. They even offered for our kids to use some of their toys and helped us find a good spot to see moose (we saw 3!). It’s so convenient that this cottage is just steps to the Kineo ferry. Don’t miss the chance to hike there. It’s pretty special. We hope to be back to this region and to this lovely spot specifically. Thank you!

Lovely getaway

Tracey and Guy really have an amazing spot here! The property itself was perfect; on the water with a gorgeous view of Mt Kineo. It was sparkling clean! The kitchen had everything we needed. The bedrooms were lovely and outfitted with space heaters, which was an awesome feature given it was still quite chilly at night. We loved having a campfire each night. There were games and a TV. The owners were so friendly and accessible! I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed getaway!

Absolutely wonderful!

We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is cozy and very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed. The view was fantastic! The owners were very responsive to communication. We especially liked that we could bring our dog and he also had a great time! We highly recommend this rental and hope to be back!

Lake House with Charm and a View!

My husband and I enjoyed everything about our stay in this charming house on the lake. The owner provided whatever you would need to make your stay pleasurable. Comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, and the screen porch with rocking chairs made our days there all the better. Definitely would highly recommend!

Our Rockwood getaway

This camp is amazing. It's stocked with everything you need. It's also very clean and so cozy. We were able to see the sunrise/sunsets everyday that were breathtaking. We enjoyed the fire pit, we were able to canoe, hike Mt kineo. We also met the owners who were very nice and accommodating if we needed anything. We will be back again for a 3rd time next year. I would highly recommend this camp.

Another wonderful stay!

We absolutely love this cottage. It couldn't be located in a more beautiful spot. The cottage itself is spacious and beautifully kept. You have everything you'll need to enjoy your stay. Amazing long weekend in Rockwood

Great cabin. Views were absolutely beautiful. Convenient location for boating, ATVs and ferry to Mt Kineo. Hosts were very welcoming and the cabin had everything we needed. We will definitely return.

Amazing!

Tracey and Guy were such great people. They greeted us at check in and gave us a tour and were very knowledgeable about the area. You cannot beat the view of the lake and Mt. Kineo! It’s breathtaking. They had everything in the cabin that you needed. I highly recommend this cabin if your looking for a beautiful relaxing vacation!

Wonderful !

The setting was lovely with wonderful view of Mt. Kineo. Lovely lawn and great fire pit. The house had everything we needed. Terrific screened in porch with rocking chairs was very relaxing! We were greeted warmly when we arrived by Tracey and Gus, and were given suggestions on where to hike in surrounding area. It was a everything we had hoped for. The whole family had a great time with water sports, and hiking. Thank you so much!

Gorgeous Views ~ Beautiful, Quiet Location

My husband and I and our son recently stayed at this cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is cute and has everything we needed. Beds are very comfortable. The outdoor fire pit with beautiful view of Kineo can't be beat. Owners were there to great us and make sure we had everything we needed. We look forward to returning.

Heaven on earth

The property was like being in heaven. The view was spectacular overlooking the lake with Mt Kineo in the distance. Tracey and Guy were excellent hosts, available for anything we needed. It felt like our souls were restored by God while we were there. We were so sad when we had to leave. Thank you Tracey and Guy for sharing your beautiful piece of heaven with us.

Labor Day weekend at Moosehead Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing weekend by the lake. The property is well maintained, clean, comfortable beds and an awesome enclosed porch with rocking chairs and a great view of Mt. Kineo. We hope to return soon.

We have been in the hospitality business for almost 20 years and take what we do very seriously. We have a deep love for the area, the history and safety for our guests. Guy grew up on this property and is very well versed in all aspects of the lake and surrounding area.

This is where we go to unplug and rewind. The views and energy at this spot are very tranquil and relaxing. If you are looking for action, this is not the place. If you are looking to relax, read a book, hike Kineo, boat, sun bath, enjoy good food and family time, this is the perfect spot. Nighttime views are amazing with endless stars.
