My wife and i would not hesitate to stay at this property again. The area was relaxing and peaceful, and the house was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. We were able to check in early, and checkout was a breeze.
Such a cute and cozy rustic cabin! Everyone loved the outdoor shower esp for after a dirty day of driving UTVs and lakes. The kitchen had everything we needed so that worked out well. Owners were so responsive and communicated with me all the time. Very helpful with their tips. If only we had more time to explore.
My teenage daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights. We had a great time looking for moose, going on the Katahdin ferry cruise, hiking the Appalachian trail, and other activities. The cabin was perfect for us. It had enough space for us both to have our own space as well as for eating together. We appreciated the texts from the owners of the cabin when we had questions (nothing major) and loved being in âmoose country.
We had a great time, the house was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The house is close to restaurants and the state park. The owners very hospitable with recommendations and information.
I will most likely be returning to this property yearly
House was super clean and cozy. Property was perfect for a guys weekend. The owner was amazing, extreamly nice woman. I highly recommend this Property.
Great rental for snowmobiling. My family enjoyed the easy access to trails. Very nice home with all the comforts of home. The owners were very easy to communicate with and made checking in/out a breeze. We will be repeat guests for sure.
The house was just as advertised! Right on the trail with lake access to Moosehead Lake as well. The owners were great and kept us updated on the snow conditions leading up to our trip. I would highly recommend for any small group or family looking to ride to check this place out!
We really enjoyed our time at the Buck Lane Hideaway cabin. We were close enough to town to enjoy the activities, but far enough away to enjoy some solitude and quiet time. We loved the open pit fires in the evenings and all of the cabin amenities! Lesa was great to work with and with timely communications and tips for our stay. Lovely cabin and lovely hosts! Thanks for an enjoyable time in Maine!
A fun, clean house for your next trip to Greenville
Booked as a place for my groomsmen to stay and get ready for my wedding in town. The house is fun, quiet, and comfortable. It is close enough to town to make getting around easy, but is far enough away from others to feel private and secluded. Would highly recommend!
Lisa was amazing at answering our questions and my family of four was very comfortable in the house. It was great to be able to bring our dog. We had a fun ATV ride up to the B 52 crash site and had a blast watching the seaplanes fly in. Thank you for being great hosts!
First I have to say, the pictures do not do this property justice. Absolutely beautiful home, very very clean (I have a severe dust allergy and travel every where with cleaning products because of how severe my allergy is, the house was immaculate). The house feels like home, it was so quaint, and comfortable. It truly is a must stay.
The hosts were amazing and communicated with me prior to our arrival and upon arrival. The house had everything we could have needed. We cooked almost everyday for every meal, and not once did we fine ourselves without a kitchen tool.
The area is the perfect balance of secluded and convenient with being only 5 minutes from the town, but nestled in the woods. We absolutely loved our stay here, and are already making plans to return!
This was my first experience renting a place to stay for a weekend and we could not have picked a better home or couple to rent from! The house was amazing! So cozy. Perfect for our group and so clean and tidy! We had everything we needed there. Lesa was great at answering all my questions and offering up advice about her favorite places to eat and things to do! Was truly the best experience, and we will be making this an annual trip! So thanks again, Lesa! You guys are awesome! We can't wait to come back!
Great location, outside of town enough to be super quiet at night but still only about 10min to Indian Hill. Property was clean and ready for our check in. Pictures do not do it justice. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, etc. Good sized yard. Comfortable beds. Hosts were super friendly and even included a complimentary snores kit. They had wifi which was good enough to check email & send texts but wouldnât run hulu. Still way better thsn nothing, not alot of cell service there. Will book again in the future. Thanks to the hosts.
Amazing cabin, perfect location and the most wonderful hosts!
We LOVED our stay in Greenville. The town is quaint yet has a lot going on even in the off season. Lesa and Kevin are hands down the best hosts weâve ever had the pleasure of working with through home away. They were quick to respond and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed and then some! As another guest mentioned, it was as if they were old friends, very hospitable! The cabin is cozy and perfect for two..or ten. Dog friendly yet very clean and tastefully decorated. The wood burning stove is amazing and kept us plenty warm! We loved using the snow shoes and trekking around the secluded 5 acres...it felt like we were in a snow globe. I could go on and on about how fantastic our stay was! One of our favorite vacations to date. We will absolutely back and look forward to keeping in touch with Lesa and Kevin. Thank you again for allow us to stay and experience the splendor that is Moosehead Lake!
I must first start with the positive, Lesa is very nice and accommodating. However, this property is not as it described, in my opinion. The rooms are very very small, my husband and I had to sleep
In different rooms because the full size beds are jammed against walls in all of the rooms. Two of rooms on the lower level basically only contain a bed and one person would have to climb over the other to get on to their side. The largest room has two full sized beds but they too are jammed into the slanted roof line ( think cape cod style house). The chest of drawers in both upstairs sleeping areas are broken to the point that the drawers just fall out on to your feet. The other rooms like kitchen and living room are adequate in size but are full of furniture 3x too large for the rooms. And, the bathroom is tiny! The shower is so small, hardly room to turn around never mind shave your legs.
Overall, the house is very dark, dank and overcrowded and needs a lot of work.
In the description, it states coin-op laundry, which surprised me. Come to find out, itâs 15 minutes away in town. Had I known this, we would have packed differently. It also states no towels provided which would have been fine. When I asked about this Lesa said there are towels. One shower towel per person was provided for our 5 night stay. This was very disappointing. I expected a little bit more than I received.
The Moosehead Lake region is lovely but this house is not the one you want to stay at
We like the place its very Nice an quiet to relax and get away. The little town wasn't far away. There was thinkings to do there in the town witch we did.
We had such a fun time here. The location was in a great area to do some hiking and sightseeing. The property hosts were wonderful and so accommodating. Everything went so smoothly and it all added up to a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to enjoy the Moosehead Lake area.
We've rented in this area for the past 6 years and love the mountains, lake and the people and found our getaway vacation home. Don't let the drive stop you from seeing magnificent views, places and people and so much more.
Proximity to lake, snowmobile trails, and nature make it fun and versatile...you can do everything..4 wheel. snowmobile, snowshoe, cross country ski. downhill ski, hike, fish, hunt, white water rafting, golf. and bike. You name it, you can do it or just do nothing and enjoy the scenary. Private 5 acre lot. The house is warm and cozy: Feels like home..Come see why we fell in love with Greenville and Moosehead lake!!!!
ITS access 85/86;(Across The Street) 2 miles takes you to the most beautiful trails around: Close vicinity to town 3.1 miles, close to Canada border, Baxter State Park MT.KATAHDIN: private property with easy access to many activities. A bonus by itself:
