à propos de cet hébergement
Beautiful 4 Bedroom Home with Pool
Freshly remodeled private estate property with three living areas, office
space, 4 bedrooms, 4 & 1/2 bathrooms, a large heated swimming pool,
all on 1.5 acres of landscaped lawn. New for 2024 will be a fully
renovated kitchen with high end appliances, primary bedroom and
private bath! First floor: Down the hall from the front entry is an open
living/dining/kitchen space focused around a fireplace backing to a large
deck, all overlooking 20 acres of conservation land. Off the kitchen is a
cozy den/TV viewing room with beautiful custom built-ins. A private
hall off the living room leads to a quiet office or nursery space and then
the large primary bedroom featuring a king bed and an en-suite full bath
and walk-in closet. Second floor: Up the stairs is another intimate den
with a sleeper sofa, a second primary queen bedroom with an en-suite
full bath and walk-in closet, and two more bedrooms (one with a queen
and one with two twin beds) that share a shower bath. Outside the
property is beautifully landscaped with a large but private front lawn and
a fenced-in backyard that includes a large back deck, heated pool, pool
deck, and pool cabana house with a changing area and a shower
bathroom. The neighborhood feel is "rural". Accordingly, the
neighborhood homes are spaced with privacy in mind. Burnt Swamp is a
quiet, very low traffic, sandy lane that is great for walking. From the
house, which sits on a gentle rise, there are beautiful sunset views over
the surrounding conservation land. Although the property is private and
quiet, it is only a short distance via the bike path on Hummock Pond
Road to heart of Town, Cisco Beach, Cisco Brew, Bartlett Farm and 167
Raw.
Please note: A signed rental agreement is required to finalize your reservation. Even if your booking request is accepted through VRBO, it is not fully confirmed until the rental agreement has been reviewed and signed. Instructions to complete the agreement will be provided immediately after booking
This up and coming area of the island is a short distance from Town and also the gateway to Cisco. Interest in the area is evident by new houses springing up along the beginning of Hummock Pond Road. The bike path makes it easy for residents of the area to have convenient access to both Town and the Cisco beaches.
Beaches, Ponds & Hiking Trails
This area is close proximity to Cisco Beach, a popular spot for surfers and sun-worshippers. In the summer, Nantucket Island Surf School teaches surfing at Cisco. Right near the beach, you will find Hummock Pond and Clarkâs Cove â two great ponds for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, or strolling the shores. Adjacent to the ponds is Ramâs Pasture, a huge swath of land, once used for grazing sheep and cows, farming, and harvesting wood. Originally set aside as âcommon landâ by Nantucketâs original shareholders in the 1600s, it is now owned by the Nantucket Conservation Foundation and offers views of the ocean and hiking trails, especially fun to walk with a dog.
Golf
A favorite of locals and visitors alike, the newly renovated Miacomet Golf Club is the Islandâs only public 18 hole course. The link style course is owned by the Nantucket Land Bank and is expertly maintained. Their casual indoor/outdoor restaurant is always a popular hangout spot, whether or not you actually play golf.
Attractions & Food
Itâs no secret that one of the funnest ways to spend a summer afternoon on Nantucket is a visit to the world-famous Cisco Brewers â Triple Eight Distillery â Nantucket Vineyard. Getting there and back from Town, just hop on the free shuttle bus (every half hour) from the Visitorâs Center on Federal Street. While you're there, enjoy a pint of their craft beer, a creative signature cocktail garnished with herbs from their garden, or a glass of wine, all the while enjoying live music in a sunshine-filled courtyard. This is a great place for the whole family, both kid and dog friendly. They offer tours and tastings, and there are food trucks and a raw bar in the summer. Better yet, bring your own food from their next door neighbor, Bartlettâs Ocean View Farm, the largest and oldest farm on the island where you can find a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, grocery items, and sundries. The farm also has a full kitchen where they make prepared foods to go. Aside from their delicious food, Dharma Yoga has its yoga studio in the loft above the market.
Events
The Annual Yoga Festival takes place at Bartlettâs.
