The space
From the moment you step inside he Purple Hummingbird, the color does the talking. Vaulted wood-beam ceilings open over a stone fireplace, a soft neon glow, and round burnt-orange chairs you'll want to sink into.

This is a smaller home that wears it well - everything close at hand, everyone in the same warm room. Whether you're here for a turning-green ceremony, a family trip, or a long Columbus stay where you just need a place that feels like your own, this house brings people together.

LIVING & GAME ROOM
The heart of the house is the great room, where bright botanical art, a living ivy wall, and a warm fireplace set the tone. The real centerpiece is the shuffleboard table — slide a few pucks after dinner and you'll see how quickly the night disappears. Smart TV and fast Wi-Fi round it out, with comfortable seating that keeps everyone close and in the conversation.

KITCHEN
The kitchen is genuinely ready to cook in. You'll find full ceramic cookware, a blender, an electric kettle and coffee maker, a toaster, stocked cabinets of plates and bowls, and organized cutlery drawers — everything for a real family meal, not just reheating takeout.

DINING AREA
Gather around the oval walnut table with six navy velvet chairs, framed by a wall of bright blooms and French doors that pull in the afternoon light. It's the natural place for long breakfasts and louder dinners, with everyone within arm's reach.

BEDROOMS
Each room has its own personality. The primary pairs a king bed against a warm terracotta wall with a navy velvet sofa bed tucked beneath butterfly-print curtains. The second wraps you in moody botanical wallpaper and bright orange drapes. The third is a favorite with kids — a green bunk bed and a queen set against William Morris–style greenery. Room-darkening shades and comfortable bedding throughout mean everyone actually sleeps.

BATHROOMS
Two full bathrooms keep mornings easy, each with a clean white vanity, round black-framed mirror, matte-black fixtures, and a shower/tub combo. Starter toiletries are provided so you can settle in right away.

OUTDOOR
Step out to a wood deck with a cushioned outdoor sofa, a BBQ grill, and lavender planters, backing onto a private, fenced, tree-filled yard. With the indoor footprint on the smaller side, the deck and yard become your extra living room — the dog roams, the grill goes, and the morning coffee tastes better outside.

NEIGHBORHOOD
You're in a quiet, established residential pocket of North Columbus — peaceful and private, yet a short drive from shopping, dining, and quick highway access. Fort Benning is roughly 15 minutes away, which is exactly why graduation families and relocating households come back to this home again and again.

GUEST REGISTRATION: This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $55 for stays up to 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
