Spacious & bright ground floor apartment. Ski-in, ski-out. Quiet neighborhood, open floor plan, one bedroom, large garden terrace & stunning mountain views. King bed (180cm x 200cm), full kitchen, Nespresso coffee machine & coffee pods, electric tea kettle & tea. Bicycle & winter gear storage in cellar. Hike-in, hike-out or bike-in, bike-out in the summer. Suitable for max. 4 people. Located in the the same chalet as our "Modern Wengen Studio" and a short walk from the Wengen train station.
The space:
The spacious apartment is perfect for 2-4 people, with easy access to all the local attractions; an approximate 8-minute walk from the village center. The perfect location for winter and summer activities. You couldnât be closer to the ski piste (ski slopes). Ski-in / ski-out or sled-in /sled-out in the winter, with the piste less than 20 meters from your patio door. Or enjoy an afternoon apĂ©ro on your large garden terrace and watch skiers pass by. Hike-in / hike-out or bike-in / bike-out in the summer with the most beautiful âWanderwegeâ (hiking trails) Switzerland has to offer. In the winter, guests are welcome to use the two wooden sledges provided with the apartment.
In the bedroom is a king sized bed (180cm x 200cm, made up by two single 90cm x 200cm mattresses), a wardrobe for your luggage and hanging clothes, and a dresser for additional clothes.
The full-sized kitchen is open to the dining and living area with granite countertops, a cooktop/stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher. Fully equipped with the essentials, including a coffee machine & coffee, a tea kettle & tea.
In the living room there is a sofa bed, which can be used as a sofa, or can be opened to be used as an additional bed. If you're traveling with friends, we can also offer a âroll-awayâ single bed for those traveling with 3 or 4 guests. This bed is not permanently stored in the apartment--you must inform us in your booking if you would like the roll away bed provided for your stay.
For families with small children we will provide a Pack 'n Play baby bed / crib, bedding, and linens for a supplemental fee of CHF 10 per night.
The 32" TV is connected to an Amazon Firestick and a DVD player. Login on your Netflix account and catch up on your favorite shows and films or enjoy a film from our small collection of DVD's.
Bed linen, kitchen linen, and towels are included in the price per night.
Guest access:
The apartment includes a private kitchen and bathroom. In the bathroom is a private washer and dryer that can be used free of charge.
Guests are also welcome to use the ski / snowboard storage room located in the bottom floor of the chalet. In this room are boot warmers to dry your winter boots and have them nice and warm before your next day on the mountain! Please note that this is a shared space so it is important that you are tidy and respectful of the other residents.
Self check-in. Please plan your arrival no later than 8pm.
Other things to note:
*When booking one of our apartments the booking price includes all applicable taxes, including the tourist taxes/city taxes collected by the village. We are aware of several other listings in the area which don't include this fee in their booking process, but you will be expected to pay the taxes upon your arrival. While we offer guests optional additional services for a fee, we will not surprise our guests with required additional fees upon arrival. Be aware, other hosts may surprise you with required fees.
Water is a precious resource, please do not run it unattended. Our hot water tank contains more than enough hot water for four people to shower and wash dishes, based on Swiss standards of daily water use. The hot water is not unlimited. In the unlikely event that you manage to run the tank empty, you will have to wait for the water heater to reheat. The tank will reheat the water overnight, every day.
Also note that Wengen is (almost) car-free. As a guest you have to park your car in Lauterbrunnen and go to Wengen by train. You can book a taxi in Wengen. We provide taxi details once our guests have completed their booking. A ride from the Wengen station to the Chalet Luise will cost about CHF 25 and we do recommend our guests treat themselves on their arrival and departure days. A taxi is also nice because the last 25 meters (approximately) of the walk to the chalet is a gravel path.
