We were in Whitefish for a mountain bike race - this condo was spectacular. Everything we needed. Proximity to the chair lifts was great - we parked the car when we arrived and didn't use it again until we checked out. Fantastic!
Our family of 5 had an amazing stay at The Pines! Everything we could possibly need was there for us. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable and clean. The surrounding were beautiful!
It was about a 45 minute drive to West Glacier and only about 12 minutes to the downtown area of Whitefish. This was perfect for us as we went to both many times during our stay.
I would highly recommend The Pines to anyone that would like to explore Whitefish or Glacier National Park. You wonât be disappointed!
This place was amazing. Had a problem with one TV cable box didn't work and property manager came herself and fixed it. But it really didn't matter. Loved love the place
We spent four nights in the unit based on good value for the price. Absolutely spotless, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. AC seemed to be limited to 74 degrees but we just opened the windows and the mountain air performs more affordibly. Nice view of ski runs. Free summer ski lift to main lodge, 5 minutes or $10 one way to the top for 5 mile hike down. $17 round trip. Complex only half occupied on weekend, only 4 guests on weekdays. But Somewhat noisy w few guests ? Overall a 8.7 out of 10. Excellent value
Very much enjoyed our five night stay! Great communication with management, condo was just as expected and had all the comfort and conveniences we needed. Location is great with easy access to the top of scenic Big Mountain. We would definitely stay again!
Loved staying here! My family and I had an awesome time staying in this great location. Able to go to downtown in 10-15 mins, GNP entrance in 1:15. Dining area is small but bedrooms are amazing. Would definitely recommend to others.
The Mountain Views are beautiful however it is further away from downtown whitefish than expected. Property manager was responsive when the garage code did not work and appreciated the quick response as it was late in the night. Overall a nice place but plan on driving a good 20-30 min to get to supermarkets or restaurants.
When we arrived, the place was not very clean or equipped well for cooking. The property manager was not very accommodating but the owner was. He had it cleaned, replaced sheets, bought a few cooking utensils, replaced curtains with blackout. That made it better! I appreciated his help!
We visited in early July 2020 and had a great time. The condo was very roomy and had a great view. It seemed to be well stocked with all the essentials.
We really loved the location up on the mountain. You are in the middle of a little village community with a lot of nice easy scenic walks and mini-hikes you could do (and several moderate to difficult hiking trails as well), and there were a few restaurants and bars in walking distance (and also a little mini store that included beer and wine). We had breakfast at the Base Lodge a few times and once at the Hibernation House, and we had lunch on the patio at Bierstube a couple of times. We never made it to Cafe Kandahar ($$$$) or the Chalet.
It was about a 10 minute or so scenic drive into Whitefish with tons of restaurants and bars and large grocery stores, liquor stores, etc⊠The Boat Club and Piggyback BBQ were probably our favorite lunch spots.
Deer were all over the place. We were sitting on the balcony one day, and a deer just walked by below us. They were all over the place, and we had multiple sightings (including 3-4 times on the road up the mountain, so drive appropriately.)
All the staff attached with the ski resort seemed super friendly and nice. We ended up going to the summit twice (once in a gondola, once in a chairlift). Very scenic, including the ride up and down. There was a short chairlift connecting the upper village to the lower Base Lodge so you could get around pretty well without too much walking uphill.
Glacier National Park was about a 45 minute drive. We did a scenic river float one day, and another day we sat around waiting to get into the park. The roads and parking were too congested because of Covid closing the tour buses and shuttle buses. We will have to come back and try it again.
The only minor issue we had with the condo was that the internet was pretty hit or miss. The condo complex has several open wifi channels you can connect to (so setup a VPN), but there was not a dedicated channel for the room. It was okay for checking email and other light tasks, but we would lose our connection frequently even with hopping around channels. Not that big of a deal, but something to keep in mind if you require fast internet. We could get Verizon 4G internet standing on the corner of the balcony, but usually had regular phone service inside the condo.
We had a great time and will be back.
Enjoyed the beautiful setting on the mountain. Walking paths to the gondola made easy access to everything. The condo was very clean and comfortable with spacious garage parking. Would highly recommend any season
We enjoyed our stay in the condo, everything was clean and nice. The only thing we did not have that would have been nice was conditioner, otherwise it was well equipped.
The unit was very clean, the biggest complaint was noise from the people above that seemed to be jumping all the time. The managerâ was very receptive and helpful.
It was a great place for my family of 4 adults. My grown boys each had their own rooms which worked well. The location is picturesque and during our stay in late June very quiet. It is about an hour to the west enterance of Glacier NP so plan ahead. But way nicer of a stay than living out of a hotel room.
We were here to ski. Only knock is that it isnât actually ski in/out, you have to walk about 4-5 minutes on the street to get to the trail that takes you to the lifts.
Otherwise, good value.
Property management company had everything in order.
