The house was just as advertised. Beach was not crowded. Friendly people next door. Loved the porch and view of the gulf. We would definitely rent again.
House was very comfortable. Kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, bedrooms were spacious and the decks were fabulous. Location was amazing - super quiet, lovely views and so close to several great restaurants. It was incredibly peaceful and a wonderful visit.
I loved our stay! The house was beautiful and I loved the seclusion on the beach. Close enough to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores but far enough away from the craziness of all the crowds. I'd love to stay here again!
The location, privacy, and space was great! Couldâve been a bit more clean, though. Pots and pans in the kitchen are pretty outdated. A few of the electrical outlets throughout the house do not work. However, overall it was a great experience. Would def recommend and would def come back!
House was awesome. Great upstairs bathroom and bedroom. Could use some new frying pans and a grill. Other than that was awesome seen dolphins every day. Was no shells though. Must have been wrong time of year. Was our first time in gulf shores area.
My family came to stay over spring break for my son's baseball tournament. The house was in a great location and the set up was perfect for what we were needing. However the photos need updating, most of the furniture in the photos is not accurate and could use updating. Jill and her Real Estate comany were awesome to communicate with and quickly helped with anything we needed. I highly recommend renting from them.
Overall the stay here was ok. Weather was nice but the biggest drawback was that there are homes being built on each side of the home. This was not and as of the time of this review is not represented in the photos of the property.
Spent a week at the house and had a great time! The house was in excellent condition and everything worked great. The only thing I saw that was burnt out was the light over the stove. Other than that, no issues at all.
The view out front is amazing and we spent many hours sitting on the front deck. We even managed to catch a few fish!
This house is located right on the beach, which was great! That feature was our favorite part of the stay. We also enjoyed the upstairs suite, which was very spacious.
The kitchen, dining and living room had the "open floor plan" concept, which was great for us.
The two bedrooms that are on the main level were ok in size. However, when it was windy, you could hear it whipping through the "front entrance" to the house.
Our one main issue was our day of arrival and the following day. Evidently, it had rained the week before, thus, causing the entrances on the streets to the property and the entrance to the house to be flooded. On our day of arrival, we had to set up "planks" to get into the house.
The rest of the week was fine, because the water receded.
I am aware that it is not the ownerâs fault that our trip landed during a tropical storm, but we had rain water that we had to wade through up to our knees for three days of the trip. One of the days we had to get another place to stay because we didnât want to be trapped in the house. We also didnât realize how far the home is from everything else, this property is a good 25-30 minutes one way to get food, groceries, etc. so we spent a lot of time in the car.
It was our first stay at Engulfed but certainly not our last. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. The kitchen is very spacious and very well equipped. The upstairs master bedroom and master bath are one of the largest weâve seen so far and the view from both is stunning. The sunrises and sunsets were absolutely amazing. We loved every minute of our stay.
This house was very cute and comfortable! Loved the upstairs master bedroom - the picture on the site doesn't do it justice! It was very spacious! Our family loved the very short walk to the beach, especially the kids! I recommend this place to anyone. Being away from the main street made our stay a little more private and relaxing as there wasn't huge crowds on the beach.
We really loved our time here. The house was nice and it was in a great location. My husband enjoyed fishing right out front of the house and the rest of us set up on the beach to take in the great weather. Even the cloudy days were beautiful. A nice to have would have been a grill. We brought a small one because it said there wasnât one but someone must have left one behind but that was small too. The only suggestion I have is to add some sort of window covering in the bathrooms. The big port hole windows are pretty but it leaves you very exposed when youâre using the bathroom at night. We improvised and it was fine. I highly recommend this as a place to stay.
