Casper's Hideaway is a beautiful, second-row, dog-friendly home with easy beach access right across the street. You'll have TVs in every room, hardwood floors throughout, a dishwasher, a microwave, a washer/dryer, a TV, a DVD player, free WiFi, ceiling fans, and back and front porches to enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds the house. Come and relax at our home available year-round!

House was perfect for our Easter Weekend! Beach access is right across the street. This end of Golden Holden is less crowded and perfect for relaxing. Casper's Hideaway was super clean and has great beds with lots of pillows! We would definitely recommend to others!

Great Stay with Easy Ocean Access!

This home was perfect for our annual family vacation. We had six adults fit in the space comfortably and with plenty of parking. Home is located directly across from a public beach access, which was extremely ideal! Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need...utensils, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Holden and intend on renting again in the future.

I love the help from the people who put in for window units for AC cause the main unit needed repair parts. Other than that had a great day. Love the place. I will definitely go there again.

Great house and location! Perfect for 6-8 people. Beach access directly across the street. Loved the layout and lots of kitchen accessories. AC worked great during a hot week! Very clean and the sheets/towels provided were very above average. Great support from the staff when we had a couple of very minor issues/questions. Overall, fantastic place and stay!

The best thing about this house, is the beach access right across the street. Beds were comfortable. House was very clean. Kitchen well stocked. No washer and dryer available for guest use. Overall great stay.

Casper’s hideaway

We loved the easy access to the beach and that the house had 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. We were disappointed in the condition of the deck (nails sticking up) and outdoor furniture (broken and rusted). It was also a bit of a challenge shutting the front door as the handle would fall off 😳

Leta, thank you for sharing your experience, we're pleased our home's layout was a good fit for your party and you enjoyed the beach access! That said, we apologize for the deck needing some TLC and our local manager assured us that they dispatched maintenance to nail off any nails on the porch and the deck. Additionally, the plastic chair was removed and the door handle was checked to ensure it is in good working order. We hope you will allow us the chance to provide you with a truly exceptional vacation experience in the future.

Excellent Stay

We were very pleased with our stay there. Clean and comfortable, and loved that it was pet friendly. Superb interaction with the Vacasa management staff. We paid for late checkout, but the cleaning crew showed up early (twice) while we were still there and we had to tell them to leave. Wasn’t really a big deal. But I let the manager know what had happened and she refunded the fee we paid for late checkout…without me even asking. Overall a great place to stay and we’d definitely look to stay there again.

Wedding Week

This beautiful home was just as described and a perfect place to stay while preparing for my son's wedding on the beach. The home was clean and had a good supply of paper towels, toilet paper, dish detergent, etc. Part of the reason we chose this home was its proximity to a beach access right across the street. Unfortunately (and certainly through no fault of the owners), the beach access was closed for rebuilding the whole week we were there. We had planned for the wedding party to be able to walk right over to the beach but we had to walk up to the nearest beach access 15 house up. Not a deal breaker but a little disappointing. We would love to return to this home one day soon!

Roaches and Filthy

How long does it take you to clean a four bedroom two bath home, more than thirty minutes I’m guessing and still filthy. Really hoping Vacasa makes this right bc we have been coming for over three decades and have never dealt w something like this. Oh and accusing your client of being the reason we walked into this nastiness upon entry doesn’t fly. You didn’t have a problem taking our money!

No Consideration for Safety and Hurricane Ian

Holden Beach was flooded, the bridge to the town was closed, there was no sewer or water. I made several calls , emails and texts to try to discuss reschedule, cancel or refund and it has been a terrible process. I received a phone call on the Friday night that I was to be at the property from the management company saying they could not come to fix an issue due to the roads. I responded to say and I am not there for that same reason.

Great location, needs some updating

On the positive side, the location was great. It's a second row house with view of the water and beach access right across the road. Amenities in the kitchen were plentiful. I saw one review that complained about the beds. Our bed was great. One bed was extremely soft but we didn't use that room. My daughter's was fine too. On the negative side, the house needs some updating. The amenities listed in the locked shed were pretty much unusable. The boogie boards and the grill were in very poor shape. Some lights didn't work in the house and none of the clocks were working. This didn't bother us really but if you were counting on it you would be disappointed. We were however disappointed when we got there that the house had not been cleaned and we had to wait an hour an a half past the check-in time after we called for them to clean it. This was the biggest negative. We had other issues with originally booking a different house that became unavailable. I was pleased with Vacasa on this other than the time it took for getting someone from relocation to finally answer the calls from the agents. Every agent we spoke with (there were a lot) was very kind and professional on the phone. This part worked out fine. If proximity to the beach matters a lot to you, this is probably worth it, but next time we visit Holden Beach we will try something else.
