Love the water? Then make the beautiful Island Creek Resort your home for a week or a lifetime. This semi-private waterfront resort has 16 island-style homes designed for the active beach life.

Set on Avon's pristine north end and accessible only by bridge, Island Creek Resort offers over 1,000 feet of shallow sound-front access. Windsurfers, kite surfers, kayakers, and kids will love this ultra-friendly location, where miles of open Pamlico Sound facilitate launching, fishing, exploring, relaxing, or just horsing around in the water. Please note that the fireplace is not available for guest use.

The boat ramp and docks handle small boats and personal watercraft. Acres of manicured sod keep Island Creek Resort looking good and feeling good underfoot. Relax in ICR's community pool or put on some sunscreen and head across the street to Avon's super beachfront. Spring and fall guests sing ICR's praises for board sports, while many families regale in this secret spot for summer getaways. Seasoned travelers even head to ICR for their winter holidays. For parents introducing their families to the world of watersports and experts looking to perfect kiting, windsurfing, and kayaking techniques, this is truly a resort for all seasons. The boat slips are first come first served.

THINGS TO KNOW
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.
Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on the weather.
Both reverse osmosis (RO) and filtered water are available at the kitchen sink for drinking water and cooking.

Second time renting!

This is a great home - we have rented it twice. Perfect access to the Sound for Windsurfing, kiting, etc. Great backyard. Comfortable beds, good home layout and overall a great experience.

Great views

This house was amazing! Great views of the sound, private community pool. The house is very spacious and well stocked. We did our own cleaning due to the late check in because of short staffed. Let me tell you Rita from Vacasa worked a miracle for our family. Very kind and understanding.

Great house in Avon

A great house with the easiest access to Pamlico Sound! Well set up for windsurfers & kite surfers with outdoor showers, large gear storage area, hot tub, plenty of parking & comfy furniture. The home itself is getting a little bit worn, but it had plenty of everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen. Easy walking distance to the beach & Avon has a good sidewalk for walking & biking in the village. Would rent again.

Middle of the road...

Loved the location, but houses are right on top of one another. Neighbors on both sides took up our yard and access to the sound.

Best location

Great house! Large grassy rigging area for kites and windsurfing gear. The grass did not get flooded during a storm while our neighbors got their fair share of water. Large area to lock your gear. Right behind Ocean Air Sports. Good restaurant within walking distance. Pots and pans were a bit old side but ok. Not a cheap rental but all worth it.

Nice place

Overall very good. Kitchen was well stocked. No extra paper towels and only one extra trash bag. Of course the cheapest TP was provided (but plenty) so byotp if you are picky. Towels were very thin but nice to be able to wash them during our stay. Furniture was comfortable, beds were good but pillows were hit or miss. Plenty of blankets however which was appreciated. We were happy and might stay again if price was right.

Avon vacation

I was very disappointed in this rental. Upon arrival, we had to put linens on the beds and I immediate washed the mattress pad cover and several stained pillows before I could sleep on them. But, after washing these items, the clothes dryer would not work. I called and it was repaired the next day. When using the shower the very next day, I ran out of hot water. I called and another repairman was dispatched and the thermostat required replacement. This rental looks very nice on line, but very outdated and I will not rent it again.
