New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

This attractive home is right across from the Avon Pier and just down the street from the community pool - exactly what you've been hoping to find for a long and rejuvenating getaway to Avon! The living room is tastefully dressed in lots of comfortable furniture and coastal decor, with beautiful floors, high ceilings, and lots of natural light throughout. Watch a good movie or show on the wall-mounted TV or head out to the private balcony for a taste of the salty sea air while you savor a delicious beverage. The kids will love eating their afternoon snacks on the full kitchen's four breakfast bar stools while you take advantage of the ample counter space and appliances to prepare a mouthwatering meal for everyone to enjoy at the dining room table with seating for six. Spend the day on the beach then come back to spritz away the sand via the outdoor shower. The private washer and dryer will make it easy to pack light and the free WiFi will keep everyone connected and happy during your stay. Download a good playlist to your device for a trip to the shared pool or for a long walk to explore the area. The fish-cleaning station will help you make short work of today's fresh catch. Canadian Hole is less than 10 minutes away and is a great place for kiteboarding and windsurfing.

This cute, clean, and comfortable property is located just across the street from Avon pier. The Outer Banks was a fun-filled beach vacation for my family of 4. The Island has a a lot to offer. I highly recommend!

Hidden but close to everything

A great hidden gem with easy access to everything. The house was clean and in excellent condition. Parking was easy and we all had room. I highly recommended it and would stay here again.

Perfect vacation home

We loved staying at prickly pear! Great amount of space with three bedrooms plenty of beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and there were tons of games to keep our littles occupied. Definitely would stay here again - location was perfect just a couple blocks to the beach/Avon pier.

Wonderful vacation in OBX! Home was beautiful and super clean upon arrival. Bonus was the screened in porch. Walking distance to Avon pier, beach, and restaurants.

Perfect spot for beach lovers

This property is located in a perfect spot for beach lovers. There are not the crowds and congestion found in other areas of OBX. There are plenty of places to get necessities and several good restaurants within walking distance. We especially liked to local seafood store.

Great location!

Great location and perfect for little families. Loved the tv’s in the rooms. The screened in porch was a nice morning coffee spot. A ceiling fan on the porch would be the only thing in would add to the home. The downstairs shower and hoses were a nice way to clean up after a day at the beach.

Beautiful home away from home

This house was gorgeous, spacious, and comfortable inside and out. The outdoor shower was so nice to have after coming back from the beach and the washer and dryer made it so that I didn’t have to take back tons of dirty laundry. The kitchen was clean and organized and every room was beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. This house made our vacation the most fabulous one yet.

Amazing house just minutes from Avon Pier

This is an absolute gem of a house that we ran into purely by accident while trying to find where to stay for a short extended weekend break. It was available exactly for the days we needed for, so we jumped in and never regretted it! The house was very clean and had everything one may need for any stay, be it a quick fishing trip or a week-long family vacation! We will definitely try to book it next time we are in Avon!

Perfect

My husband, 20 month old, and two friends stayed here in August. It was clean upon our arrival. Located close enough to walk to some shops, the pier, and restaurants. The shared pool was nice and was very close by as well. We will be rebooking in the future.

Very nice home and great location

The only thing I would recommend is a grill for guests, hair dryer, cleaners need to move coffee tables and chairs to clean, basic things like salt and pepper and more guest towels. This home sleeps 8 but only offered exactly 8 towels. Loved the ability to use the V-Kay credit for bike rentals. The decor and furniture were very nice. Location was super convenient to all local activities. The beaches in the area are absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Awesome Beach House

Beautiful new, modern beach house, we loved our stay here. Quick walk to the beach. We had some rainy days, so we enjoyed the Roku TV. This house is great, the only negative we found is there’s no ice maker in the freezer and only tiny, cracked ice trays, so we bought bagged ice. A few suggestions I have for improvement would be a ceiling fan on the screened-in porch along with some string lights or dimmers on the overhead lights out there, and maybe some dimmers on the kitchen lights. The downstairs area under the house was great for cleaning up beach equipment, plus there’s plenty of room to hang out there if you had chairs and maybe a corn hole game! Not sure when we’ll make it back to Avon, but we’d definitely stay here again.

Away from home home

The location was very clean and had all that we needed. We had a couple of safety concerns. There should be a light at the top of the stairs for the rear kitchen entrance. The rear kitchen door has a door jam that is not always easy to navigate and someone could easily trip and fall on the steep stairs. Also, we recommend a handrail that goes the full length of the staircase on the rear entrance. We recommend a better quality of linens and towels. The screen door on the porch needs a better latch. During a storm, it kept banging and was not easy to close.

Great house! Poor management communication

Beautiful house! Modern coastal vibe. Looks brand new! Very clean. Great location across from the pier in Avon, nearby restaurants and grocery store. The only problem was one of the smoke detectors started beeping, we tried calling the local office, two numbers on our reservation and the local office giving us another number to call. I talked to 3 different people that said they would call me back when someone was on the way to repair it. No one ever came or called. Very poor communication on who or what number to call for assistance and/or service. I’m glad it wasn’t an emergency!
