The Space:

An amazing oceanfront property awaits at this incredibly positioned home on the sandy shores of Folly Beach, offering views of the Folly Beach Pier and a prime location just six blocks from Center Street's beloved shops and restaurants.



This fantastic home features an open floor plan with plentiful windows that look out to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. There's something for everyone across the 3,742 square feet of living space, including gorgeous views, high-end finishes, free WiFi, an extensive cable package (with HBO and Starz), a private boardwalk to the beach, and an outdoor shower to welcome you back. The kitchen offers expansive counter space, stainless steel appliances, views of the ocean, and multiple coffee makers - a traditional coffee maker and a Keurig - to get each morning off to the right start. Enjoy meals with your family in the dining room or the sunny breakfast room, relax with a newspaper in the comfortable living room, and eventually head outside to the large deck to take a seat in a rocking chair and watch the waves roll in. At night, you'll find a main bedroom suite with an enormous private bathroom on the first floor and four more bedrooms upstairs.



What's nearby:

This oceanfront home is located right on the beach, with a private boardwalk that connects you to the sand and the ocean. Center Street - the main thoroughfare in downtown Folly Beach that's home to an assortment of charming restaurants, shops, and recreational outfitters - is six blocks northeast. Downtown Charleston is also just 12 miles north, well within an easy day trip.

Great location! Nice, relaxed vibe and close enough to town to walk- it’s a nice walk along the beach. Nice deck with comfortable chairs. Spacious clean rooms and bathrooms. As others have mentioned, the furnishings are dated. The kitchen was fine for the limited cooking we did, but the sink placement was really odd and it made cleanup a bit of a challenge. There are two doors out to the deck and both are tired and barely lock. To the credit of the owners they had a contractor visit to provide an estimate for door replacement (Aug 2025). The WiFi is spotty - on the deck I could see available WiFi from the neighboring houses, but not this house. Even though we had a really good stay at Folly, the value really wasn’t there with this house. On our next trip I’ll try to get a nicer updated house.

The house is beautifully situated on Folly Beach with direct beach access. The home is a spacious rental but it is not furnished like a “beach home” like many of the other properties on Folly. The furnishings are very poor quality and tired from the 90’s. Overall the property is not up to the standards that one would expect from a premium priced rental.The good:- location on the beach with beach access- spacious- Lots of parkingThe bad:- Property is very tired, hasn’t been updated since the 90’s- living room could have a beautiful view of beach but is blocked by a fireplace- what could be a den is a second dining area so nowhere to sit and enjoy the view- indoor furniture is mismatched with a blend of indoor and outdoor furniture that looks like it was furnished by frat boys at grandpa’s 90’s garage sale- only one small outdoor deck with a hodgepodge of mismatched furniture- many of the reviews from 2-4 years ago identified issues with the hardware for the back doors and the stove, but the same issues still exist today. The door knob still pulls off. - there appears to be an elevator, which would be extremely useful for luggage and groceries, but is closed off to rentersThe house has so much potential but just wasn’t well thought out and is very poorly furnished.

Great location for our family gathering

Our family of 9 adults stayed very comfortably. The breakfast/dining area was very roomy so meals at the house were easily accommodated. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. Enjoyed having coffee on the Oceanside porch every morning. Highly recommend.

Perfect beach house

Property is well equipped for a large group gathering. Our family group of 8 adults & a 2 year old had a fantastic time. This beach front home has everything you need for an awesome vacation get away!

Great beach house in Folly

Beautiful house with massive bathrooms for every room. 2 rooms on the main floor and three upstairs allowing for plenty of room. Nice covered porch for sitting and watching the waves. Two dinning areas also allowed for lots of space to spread out. Kitchen had two dishwashers that helped out a lot. Kitchen knives could use some sharpening and the temperature indicators on stove knobs were all worn off, which made initial cooking a bit challenging. All in all, though it was a great house that made for a great trip for our extended family.

House was stocked with more toilet paper and dish washer pods that any we have ever stayed it. TWO dishwashers were really nice.

R&R and historic sightseeing in Charleston

We really enjoyed our time in Folly Beach and Charleston. House was perfect for our group. We spent a lot of time walking along the beach in the mornings.

Amazing and beautiful views!

As soon as you walk in, the full windows welcome you to beautiful Folly Beach. So much room inside the house and having 5 bathrooms for 10 of us was definitely a plus. We all had a wonderful time and had everything we needed. The only issues that have been mentioned before, are the stove knobs without temperature location and the corner sink could definitely use a longer faucet hose. Would definitely stay here again and thank you for sharing this perfect house!

Great for a home base

It was perfect for us. We spent almost every day on the beach. When we weren't on it. We could see it. We moved about as small groups. Used it as a place to come back to. Great location, right on the beach. My 3 daughters, their families and I all had a great get away.

Great Views. Poor property management by Vacasa

Beautiful house, right on the beach with private walk to beach. The house is a 5, Vacasa rep is a 1. We had a great time except for a few items. We like grilling. The grill was dirty when we arrived. We turned it on high in order to clean the grilling surface and the entire base pan caught fire because it hadn't been cleaned in ages. We put out the fire and our first task of the vacation was to clean the greasy grill. Then we ran out of gas for the grill and had to run to town to get a new container to finish cooking steaks. Emailed and messages Vacasa through the app and did not get any responses until nearly a week after we left. The views made up for all problems but Vacasa has proven to be unreliable, especially at the Folly Property. I then moved to Isle of Palms house and the Vacasa representitive could not have been more responsive. Two totally different experiences

Our favorite location

We have stayed at this house for over 12 years and truly love it and will come back for sure. Couple of areas that need attention: This time the refrig was broken (no heads up) and they had put in three small ones. Inconvenient and a hassle and one kept freezing our food. There were no trash bags in any of the cans upon arrival nor any supplies under the sink and the cans were not cleaned. So immediately we had to deal with trash bags issues. The back porch had not been cleaned from last guests with sand, piles of shells. Although, we will for sure stay here again because its's a tradition and we have had many great years in this house, this time had some areas weren't up to the rental costs. Couple of things to tweak and this will back up to 5 stars. Recommendation would be for mgmt - to bring in a large full refrig if this happens again.

The interior was way nicer than we expected. Great being on the beach. However the frig didn't work, except for the freezer part. The mini frigs provided were a help but some of the food froze in them. As we were 6 people and we stayed for a week and cooked every day this was a real problem. Some of our produce froze

Loved Folly Beach

The house was great, easy walk or drive to town, spacious bedrooms and living area. The only issue we had was the refrigerator was not working, we were not made aware of the problem and discovered it after several days into the stay resulting in having to throw out some of our food.

Beautiful stay.

Lovely, lovely place. Quirky beach town. I had misbooked for 2023 and vacasa graciously accommodated me with a different property and a minimal change in fees. We were thankful to their help. The only problem I have is that this was a VrBO listing for a second company and they passed on a $700 service fee from VRBO on top of the fees for the other rental company. I always had the option of not booking, but the pull to South Carolina was too strong. Grateful we could still afford.

Blue Waters

This was the second year we rented the house and it is truly a wonderful place. Clean, spacious, fantastic access to the beach. The only drawback is the location of the kitchen sink which is in a corner; this was a design flaw and not sure it could be fixed. Still, this house is as close to perfect as possible. We will be there again next year.
