***THE FARM***
Spring Hollow began as a one room log cabin in the late 1800s. Over time, the cabin was expanded to its current configuration, which includes two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, mud room, and dining area. The house has been extensively renovated through the years, most recently in 2020. It is updated and modern while retaining its historic character. Spring Hollow sits on nearly 30 acres, with open fields and woods to explore.
Bedroom 1/Guest Room: Located on the main floor of the house, this bedroom includes a king size bed and a twin size bed, two luggage racks, and a small dresser.
Bedroom 2/Master Bedroom: Located in the upstairs loft, this bedroom includes a king size bed, a large walk in closet with hanging space and two luggage racks, and a private full bathroom with shower. Please note that the master bedroom is the only room in the loft area and is not visible from the entry hall, but it does not have a door.
Living Room: The living room is located the original log cabin. With a soaring ceiling and exposed logs, it is cozy and comfortable. A full bathroom with tub/shower combo is located off the living room.
Kitchen: The modern kitchen is well equipped and includes a gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, combination coffee maker (traditional basket and K-cup), electric kettle, Le Creuset cookware, and more.
The Back Patio/Fire Pit: Located off the kitchen, the back patio includes a seating area and a 6-person dining table, as well as a gas grill (propane tank provided). A fire pit with adirondacks sits a few yards away from the back patio (wood provided) and is the perfect place for taking in the views of the property.
The Pond: Our spring-fed pond is a highlight of the property. The sandy beach area adjoining the pond is a peaceful place to relax and hang out. The beach area includes a second fire pit with adirondacks. Please note that the pond is shallow with submerged rocks throughout.
Basketball Court: Play a game of HORSE on our paved basketball court located at the edge of the woods. Basketball provided!
Hiking Trails: There is a small circuit of hiking trails on the property for our guests to enjoy.
The house will be professionally cleaned before your arrival. For your safety and ours, we do not use pesticides inside the home. Please be aware that due to the wooded location and historic nature of the home, insects make their way inside from time to time. If this is something that would negatively impact your stay, we are happy to recommend other locations in the county that are more "bug proof."
Please note that cell service is spotty in Rappahannock County. We use Verizon and have good reception at the farm, but we cannot promise that you will have cell service.
