With the nearest neighbor over half a mile away, enjoy breathtaking sunrises over the Arkansas Valley, snowcapped peaks to the southwest, and a lush wooded creek below.

The Hideaway occupies the upper level of a beautifully remodeled, newly furnished home. With a separate lower-level tenant and no shared spaces, you’ll have complete privacy during your stay.

This 37-acre property sits on a southeast-facing slope in Colorado’s temperate Banana Belt, offering milder spring and fall temperatures than other mountain destinations. You can explore private hiking trails and early-20th-century quarries without leaving the property.
A unique feature of The Hideaway is the remnants of the old town of Calcite, Colorado including foundations from the original school, clubhouse, and multiple homes. Part of the foundation of the original boarding house is even integrated into the firepit patio adjacent to the house. Explore these 100-year-old remains on the property and imagine a bustling community of 200 people mining calcite for the steel industry based out of Pueblo.
