This place is very close to Taliesin. The room has a definite FLW feel from the close entrance to the expansion as you walk in to the high back chairs at the table. The sink faucet was pretty very unique. It took a minute to figure it out. We had a nice view out the back of some trees and a place to gather. My only âcomplaintâ was the pre-check in with submitting your picture id was a little cumbersome, but it did make the actual check-in very easy and fast. Nice stay!
My wife and I stayed here recently to visit The House on the Rock, (only a 10 minute drive). The room had a wonderful retro feel to it. Very clean, very cozy including an electric fireplace, minifrige, microwave, TV cable. But the real hidden gem is the bathroom. Giant bath, Modern stand up shower with full body jets. Carolina even put together a basket of wine and cheese for us when she found out it was our anniversary. She was very quick to respond to any questions i had. I was able to check-in online from start to finish.
The property Manager was not kind or friendly at all. No parking spot. Poor driveway condition. Unacceptable hidden fees. Refused to answer our concerns. Will not stay this property ever!!!!!
Great period motel to stay in. Really captured the FLW feel that the area is known for. The owner, Carolina, was so sweet. Took great care of us and had some great recommendations of places to see.
This a historic property designed by Frank Lloyd Wright so that makes it worth seeing. Our room had a huge tub and separate shower as well as a comfortable bed. The host was easy to contact and responded quickly.
Carolina was very welcoming. She had delicious Wine for purchase and the huge bath tub was perfect to warm after cool ride up on the motorcycle! Was a lovely stay!! Unsonian is super cool with architectural finishes that maintain integrity!!
I booked a hotel room with a fireplace and a soaking tub and I got neither. My reservation was canceled through Expedia and re-booked privately through the hotel and I ended up getting something totally different. The hotel is right on a major highway and extremely noisy. There is no way to enjoy the outdoor space or the grounds because it is on the highway. The hotel was decently clean but old and it could have been very cool with the history And Usonian aspect but it was basically just a lot of mission style furniture. The mattress was awful and incredibly saggy. The hotel is very close to the American players theater which makes it super convenient for that purpose. It was our 10 year wedding anniversary and the hotel had a bottle of wine for us and also a sign that said congratulations which was a nice touch. Check in and check out was very convenient but I donât know that Iâve ever needed to give my drivers license and have a photocopy of it made to use a hotel room before. If you are staying at this hotel to go to American players theater itâs a good option but if youâre going for R&R or an enjoyable spring green experience⊠Iâd keep looking.
Room 5 was wonderful. This was not the Ritz, but the bed felt like it. Loved the renovated bathroom and blackout curtains. Slept like a baby. Suggest some type of curtain for window over desk.
We totally enjoyed out stay at The Usonian. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful furnishings of Room 5.
Carolina was very friendly and spent time telling us about the place and things going on in the community.
