A beautiful way to relax and rest in nature. Thank you to the host for your care and making sure everything was okay.
Really glad you enjoyed the natural surroundings including the wombats and wallabies that live in the garden.
A warm wood fire and a great view over the forest to Melbourne and the vineyards of the valley a short drive away means you can choose to have both nature and the sophistication of the Yarra Valley.
Susanna who is looking after the cottages whilst we are away enjoyed meeting you and we look forward to your return.

A peaceful and immaculate location
Great location and view. The cottage was so cozy with warm hospitality from the host. Highly recommend this, and we will return.
The cottages are absolutely perfect! Everything you could need and surrounded by wildlife. Lyrebirds, wombats and some beautiful smaller birds.
Highly recommended and would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Great you enjoyed the wombats. I love the small birds too. There are great numbers of birds, all native species and they seem to be everywhere.
Hope you also enjoyed the frog song which fills the night through autumn to late spring.
Going on a bear hunt
What an amazing place. Felt like we could have been ontop of a mountain in the Canadian Rockies rsther thsn just an hour from Melbourne (just no bears to be found!). Great location, incredibly tranquil. Well thought out and proovisioned property. Would stay again in a heart beat
Surrounded by native forest with a view to Melbourne our guests are always surprised at how natural and removed from city life we are but you still see Melbourne in the distance. We are just over an hours drive to Hoddle street in Melbourne but wombats and wallabies forage in the garden and native birds are everywhere. The night is filled with the sounds of owls and through winter the constant singing of frogs. There are few places now where you see native animals in the wild so close to a major city. We suggest leaving mobile phones at home, but it's up to you.
Wonderfully positioned high in the forest in totally peaceful surroundings. Very comfortable and warm accommodation. Seeing lyrebirds up close just added to the very special time we spent here. Highly recommended and excellent hosts.
The lyrebirds are pretty special aren't they? We still love listening to them and watching them after 20 years up here. Thanks for your generous comments .
Loved it! Had everything you could need for a wonderful stay! Amazing views!
Thanks Kim. Wintertime the cottages are full of light and warmed by wood fire. The colours and texture of the timbers and mudbrick interior walls create a warm, private and comfortable cottage to look out onto a winter day.
