Just to respond to your comments it is common practice to rent sheets and towels when renting a cottage in Maine and it is noted in the listing. Also ever since Covid blankets are no longer provided which is also stated Thanks again for staying with us. Dan

Hello, We are sorry that your 3 Day stay didn't meet your needs. We provide clean comfortable accomodations. We have had consistent 5 star reviews for many years. The table on the porch is to dine out there while overlooking the pool. As for the television it is not the main priority when vacationing in Maine and the sleeper sofa is required by the Association. Please feel free to vacation elsewhere in the future. Owner

The guest arrived A DAY LATE with no communication of a problem. Two days into their stay I was contacted as they "Loved the Place" and wanted to extend an additional day. I as the Owner agreed and gave them a discount for the additional day. The Main Office refused to take payment because it was a VRBO rental, and I as the Owner had changed the rate to help them? I then again attempted to accommodate the Guest by giving them specific instructions (which they DID NOT follow) to pay for their additional day. The guest had 36 hours to make the additional payment and DID NOT do so. After multiple calls, 6-8 Which went unanswered and multiple emails to the guest with NO REPLY I advised them to please vacate the property according to the VRBO rental agreement. I finally received a phone call from them. The Guest (female) then became VERBALLY AGGRESSIVE AND ABUSIVE stating they would be staying the additional day after I declined. The Guest stated she COULD NOT get funds out of the ATM's that were available in the area? (Red flag). I again as the Owner told GIZAM AKCAY on the telephone that she would have to vacate and which time she stated "I will get you on the review, you asshole." I then advised her if she DID NOT VACATE the premises per the agreement Police would be called and she would be removed. The next day management discovered that the programmable remote control for the flat screen television was MISSING. I as the Owner attempted to have VRBO intercede with this Guest and they provided NO SUPPORT with customer service OUTSIDE the United States. OWNERS DO NOT RENT TO THIS NIGHTMARE OF A GUEST. THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THE RULES AND ARE RUDE AND ABUSIVE. We have a long history of five star stays and will continue to provide our guests with the best experience possible.

We appreciate your review and thank you for the five stars for your stay. We are sorry you did not see in our listing information that linens and towels are not provided and are extra or you can bring your own. This is the common custom when renting cottages in the State of Maine. Thanks.

Dean and family, Thank You for the positive comments about out cottage. As I stated prior to your Booking the pool and Jacuzzi would be closed. This decision to close the Jacuzzi in September was made by our current President who is being replaced soon... Thank God.
