This home is perfect for both families and groups of friends.
There are three bedrooms, including a master with its own bathroom; a large kitchen with everything you need for a home-cooked meal; a full-size washer and dryer; a grill and picnic table on the back porch; and a large, private, fenced backyard where kids and dogs can run and play.
Relax with the whole family or surrounded by friends at this peaceful place to stay. This home is a short drive from the Glacier National Park Two Medicine Entrance, providing access to a world-class hiking destination.
The location also provides easy access to other fantastic outdoor destinations, such as the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
Spend the day hiking, swimming, exploring, and more, then come back to rest and relax!
The home has a comfortable family room with a TV for those post-hike recovery evenings. The home is accessed through a mudroom, which is a shared space with the apartment above the garage, but the home is entirely private behind its entrance door in the mudroom (this door has an exterior-grade lock). The apartment above the garage does not extend above the home you will stay in, so noise traveling between the two units has never been an issue.
There is an attached garage shared between the two units, in which you will have exclusive access to one of the two stalls. The guests in the upper unit have an upper-level back porch, but it does not access the backyard; the backyard is exclusively yours to use.
This home is a manufactured home; it is well maintained, well insulated, and generally solid, but if being a manufactured home would impact your experience in any way, please be aware of this fact when booking.
A quick note on East Glacier: this is a very small town that is generally welcoming and is the closest town to the East Glacier Park entrance. It is a great launching point for the park and a safe place to stay. However, things are done differently here compared with most American towns.
For example, most roads are gravel, and locals are not required to restrain their dogs from roaming free. I have never had a safety issue in East Glacier, and I do not know anyone who has; the dogs are accustomed to people and, as far as I have seen or heard, generally leave people alone. If this kind of environment is concerning for you, please keep the nature of this location in mind before booking.
These characteristics apply to all of East Glacier, not just this property; I mention them because many East Glacier rentals do not communicate the nature of the town well, and sometimes people are surprised when they arrive. All that said, I love East Glacier, and I vacation here myself with my family, my young children, and my dog, and we have a great time!
Another aspect of staying in a small town is limited grocery availability. I suggest you stock up on the way â in Browning if coming from the east, or on the other side of Glacier Park if coming from the west (Columbia Falls, for example).
