CASA FAR NIENTE
Welcome to Casa Far Niente! Picture this: a dual-level renovated farm house with plenty of living space both indoors and outdoors. There is a large, heated pool perfect for families or large groups. It has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and a powder room. Thereâs an outdoor shower, a deck with a BBQ, dining area and lounging oasis plus a fire pit with Adirondack chairs for making sâmores and telling stories. The home is located in the historic Springs area, close to secluded beaches on Gerard Point. Please note this is NOT a share-house.
THE HOUSE:
This home is a cozy two story farmhouse with a front porch and spacious back deck. It can comfortably sleep up to 10 people, including kids and young adults (not suitable for 10 adults). There are two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds, while the other is smaller with a queen-size bed. The fourth bedroom was recently remodeled and now has two sets of bunk beds, which can technically sleep four people, but itâs best suited for four young adults or kids with one shared closet and dresser. The house has three full bathrooms, including the two en-suites with showers. Thereâs also a powder room and an outdoor shower. The living room, dining area, and kitchen are all open and share a common space. The media room has a 65-inch TV and speakers, perfect for watching movies or as a playroom for the kids. And the shed at the back of the yard is stocked with all the beach, pool, and yard toys and accessories youâll need for adults and kids, including bikes, pool floats, beach chairs, sand and pool toys, bocce, corn hole, and more.
THE OUTSIDE:
Our backyard is a lush green oasis, filled with trees, but the pool and patio still soak up the sun all day. Thereâs a spacious deck perfect for outdoor dining for 8 people or more, cozy couches, and a BBQ grill. Weâve also added a new outdoor shower. The pool is a real gem, measuring 18 feet by 44 feet, with a stone patio, lounge chairs, and a brand-new heater. We maintain the heat at 75 degrees. For the adults who love a good fire, thereâs a gas fire pit surrounded by four Adirondack chairs. Plus, thereâs a large play area perfect for playing lawn games, making it an oasis for families and for all seasons.
THE BEACHES:
Weâre super close to some incredible bay beaches that are all secluded and gorgeous. You absolutely must check them out! The public ocean beaches are just a 10-minute drive away. Parking at the public, ocean beaches in Amagansett, Montauk, and Wainscott is on a first-come, first-served basis, including Atlantic Ave, Ditch Plains, and Indian Wells. For the bay beaches, you can either walk, bike, or run to Gerard Drive. Itâs an amazing place to walk or run, with wildlife preserves and water all around you! Weâre also very close to the beautiful Maidstone Park beaches.
GUEST ACCESS:
Youâll have full access to the propertyâ inside and outâ with the exception of the basement, the upstairs office closet, and a closet in the master bedroom that are locked. The shed is mainly for storage so we prefer guests do not use that area of the house except to take out or store equipment (beach chairs, bikes, etc) for their use.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
RULES:
We ask that our guests treat our home like their own, be conscientious and return things as they found them. *Note you will forfeit your security deposit if anything goes missing - this includes but is not limited to all household, pool/beach or kitchen essentials and products, dinnerware, glassware, linens, decorative items, books (unless otherwise indicated) and art.
1) Absolutely no share-house groups or parties. House is in a family friendly neighborhood.
2) No more than 10 people on the premises at any time, including the renter. Reservations for groups of 10 are reserved only for families with young children. Please communicate all guests visiting or staying at the property.
3) The house is in Springs - a secluded, quiet area of East Hampton. This comes with lots of wildlife - including deer, bugs, and more! We spray the backyard for ticks but that doesn't guarantee there won't be any. Please plan accordingly.
4) We provide all our guests with full access to the property & to our stuff -- the beach chairs, the pool toys, games for kids and adults, kids' toys, and a partially stocked kitchen. We ask that our guests be conscientious and return things as they found them.
6) The basement, the office closet , and the primary master bedroom closet* are off-limits to guests.
*There is an ample hanging valet and large dresser available for use.
