The kitchen is updated with professional 6-burner gas range and has all the basics to make a feast for the family.

Welcome to Maplehurst, where the whole family can relax in comfort and explore Chautauqua! Located directly adjacent to the Fowler-Kellogg Art Center and Strohl Art Gallery, Maplehurst is centrally located in Chautauqua institution, while still close and easily accessible to the main gate.

While at Maplehurst, visit local wineries, check out the National Comedy Center, or just enjoy all the history and beauty of Chautauqua Institution in the company of your friends and family.

Our home is 3 floors, with stair chair lift between floors 1 and 2. There are four steps up to porch from the street. Open, bright porches welcome fair-weather lounging at all three levels!

The first floor gathering spaces includes a large foyer/living area, and combined dining/kitchen space with live-edge table seating 11. The kitchen was updated in 2022 with new professional 6-burner gas range, flooring, cabinetry, and whisper-quiet Samsung appliances.

Maplehurst is traditionally furnished and has 8 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 3 half baths:
- First floor: half bath
- Second floor: 3 queen bedrooms; 1 full shared bath, 1 full en-suite bath connected to primary bedroom, and 1 half en-suite bath connected to another bedroom.
- Third Floor: 1 queen bedroom, 1 double twin bedroom, 3 single twin bedrooms; 1 full shared bath, 1 half en-suite bath connected to queen room.

The living room and some bedrooms have TV’s set up for streaming from your device. We also offer Hulu Live for local and cable channels.

Our charming home boasts many original historic elements like hardwood floors and trim. Clean, potty-trained dogs are welcome with advance permission.

Guest access
Entire home may be used by guests except for the basement, which we ask to be off-limits.

Other things to note
Our home is equipped for the comfort of 13 guests, but not equipped to host large gatherings with persons who are not staying in the home. Parties at the home are strictly prohibited, unless authorized prior to arrival.

Chautauqua institution quiet hours start at 10 PM each night. Chautauqua is a very dense community, with many neighbors within earshot. Loud talking outside, or loud music inside that can be heard outside, is to be avoided. If you can hear what’s happening inside the house from outside, so can our neighbors. Please be conscious of others during your stay, and enjoy the home without disturbing our valued neighbors.
