Cozy Cottage

Enjoy a cozy stay in a private cottage nestled in on a beautiful tree-lined street. Wayland is a small, friendly community in Southeast Iowa. It’s just a short drive—10 miles north to Washington, 20 miles south to Mt. Pleasant (County Seat), or 40 miles to Burlington, Iowa City, or Ottumwa—offering small-town living with nearby city amenities. We are available to assist you with any needs, as we live right in Wayland. We look forward to your visit.
The space
Your cottage features lots of windows and natural light. The living room has relaxing recliners and a 55” DISH TV. AC and ceiling fans in all rooms will keep you comfortable. A closet stocked with books, games, and puzzles offers plenty of fun! There are two bedrooms—one with a king-size bed and one with a queen-size bed—that provide a restful night’s sleep, with room-darkening curtains, a sound machine, and fans to ensure comfort. Dining options include a cozy kitchen table or a patio table on the back deck. The kitchen is equipped with utensils and supplies for cooking your own meals, and a Jenn Air gas grill is available in the backyard. If you'd rather not cook, ordering from a local restaurant is a quick option! Keypad entry provides access to all three doors.
Guest access
The house is yours to use. The basement is "under construction" with future hopes of a game area - including ping pong table and foosball.
