Check in was not smooth, had to call property manager for key on a Sunday arrival. Washer and driver not functional, had to use a laundry mat but otherwise good location and property amenities.
The "second" bedroom was a bit smaller than expected, but overall, the property was certainly adequate for one adult and three older teens. While we were there, the family upstairs were very loud (lots of running around) and the sound carried. Otherwise, we were very happy. The kitchen served us well and having laundry facilities handy was a real plus since the kids spent a lot of time at the beach. The beach and shopping are within easy reach, although the walk to the beach is just far enough that driving is easier than walking (in hot weather). We would visit and stay here again.
Nice condo, though needs updating and a deep cleaning ( cobwebs and ceiling has stains). Location is good to area, and about 4 blocks to beach. Could have used a map of the condo complex to find building first day and pool. Overall nice area ideal for being close to beach yet not close to traffic.
This is the second best thing to a condo on the beach. This condo is a short 10 minute walk through a forested, shaded path to the beach. The pool was great, not crowded, with shaded and sunny seating always available. Excellent wireless and large dinner table great for work from home. The thing we loved most about the condo was the screened-in, wrap around porch with tropical forest all around. We could leave the doors from MBR and living room to porch open to let the breezes in and enjoy fresh air and birds singing. It really expanded the usable space of the condo. We used it as a reading/nap spot and work space, and stored our beach chairs and bikes there. An unexpected surprise was the Egan's Creek bike/walk/run Greenway which starts across the street and goes north for 3.5 miles to the entrance of Fort Clinch State Park. We biked it everyday day and saw lots of turtles, birds, and some alligators too. We rented this unit because it was on first floor, and were glad we did not have to climb more stairs to get to it. You could hear people walking above, but not an issue for us at all. Suggest screen door be replaced because coming off hinges, and add a wine opener to kitchen. Otherwise, the unit was nicely updated, comfortable, and homey. We'd rent this again.
If you really want to unplug this is an amazing rental however there is only 1 tv and minimal challenges which makes it unpleasant if you have children who want to watch tv on a rainy day or relax day in the condo.
Me and my family stayed in this condo for a 3 day get away. The complex is what is expected for this price range. The main thing that I think that someone would need to know is there seems to not be any insulation between the ceiling and the 2ed story. So there is some foot traffic noise that you hear that is kind of loud. Over all I would stay here again. It is better to me than having a hotel room.
Amelia Landing on Fernandina Beach, FL in December
Great condo about 2 blocks from the beach, close to downtown & shopping. Short, easy walk up path to beach. Condo is on first floor but there are still steps to get to it. Unit was clean & had nice furnishing. Master bed was very comfortable & master bath as been nicely renovated. Screened back porch is huge & a great place to hang out. Kitchen was updated & had just about everything we need. Washer & dryer in unit was really nice. Washer is loud when it spins & sounds like someone pounding on door. Woke up our granddaughter. Very peaceful location. Only real negative was we could hear people up stairs walking. Actually kept us up a couple nights. It was cold outside so we didnât use the pool or tennis courts but theyâd looked nice. There is a small grill & picnic table near the unit which was nice. Plenty of parking right by unit. Trash dumpster was quite a was away. Would definitely recommend.
