Great location. Loved our stay. No beach in front but Long Beach to the left. Walking path all the way along the cape. Couple suggestions, salt/pepper, oven mit(s), hand soap, throw blankets, would be pluses. Otherwise, great placeâŠold school town, no commercialism on the cape just a couple trading posts..Beautiful sunsets . Waves crashing in front all night longâŠloved it. Thanks for sharing.
The steps in photos are no longer there, no beach beside because water is to far up along stumps and such in water. Also they only give you 1 trash bag for your stay, as for other places we have stayed there usually have spices such as salt and pepper, nothing like that here
This was an absolutely beautiful location. The condo was clean and comfortable. It did not have a hairdryer. You have the sunset from one deck and the sunrise from another. The beach has been Washed out, so the condo pretty much sits on the water. Standing on the east facing deck, all you see is water. You almost get that feeling you're on a boat.
We had our two dogs with us. Port Saint Joe is very dog friendly. We were able to take them out to dinner with us every night. My only complaint is the Animal fee was very exorbitant. I was not notified of this, until someone called me the day before our check-in.
Every year, we have visited Cape San for over 50 years, July trips are to celebrate my momâs birthday- 88 this year! The Hidden Pearl is very close to gul, but supported by rocks and the beaches are on side are fun. The views are gorgeous, the water very clear, and we had better weather than predicted.
An extra sofa in big living room instead of chairs would be more comfortable and could accommodate a group of seven or eight, Bathrooms are small, but outside shower is great. Decks are very nice. We watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets all week,
This place was different, but so lovely. Extra cookware would be nice. Beds are comfortable in both rooms facing waterâ Those rooms have big closets. Middle room would be more attractive and comfortable with regular bed. Itâs the smallest bedroom plus has no window or closet. People could still sleep on sofas or a sleeper sofa to accommodate up to eight people, It would be more attractive and comfortable We had a great vacation, enjoyed fun in the sun, swimming, neighbors, watching fishermen and women, building sandcastles and collecting shells, Visiting park and going to town for a seafood dinner, visiting little shops was very convenient from this location. Pets friendly was a big bonus. Thanks for a fun family holiday.

Unique property in the water.
As Cape San Blas veterans we were aware of the erosion in this area and the position of the complex virtually in the water. This made for exciting wave crashing upper and lower porch time which we enjoyed. We were unsure of the beach access before arrival, but it was even more limited that we imagined, with some dilapidated houses to one side due to storm damage. We went to the public access miles down the cape each day to walk and sit at beach, which worked fine and was pretty. Do not expect to access a classic Gulf Coast beach from this unit if that's your interest.
The views were incredible from all levels. The second bedroom view was of the bay. Very clean and nice beachy decor. We really enjoyed our stay. The condo is right over the water and we liked to sit on the screened deck or upstaiirs deck and enjoy the sights and sound of the waves
This is a clean property, right on the beach, with great views and sunsets. Dolphins and pelicans were spotted often. The living room couch is comfy but the 2 blue chairs in the living room are not. Beds were very good. We would go back.
The unit was very clean and updated. The beds were so comfortable and everything was functional. You canât beat the location. You walk right out to the ocean and watch the sunset or look out the front of the property and watch the sunrise through the trees over the bay. I will defiantly be coming back.
Beautiful location, newly remodeled townhouse, all amenities available
Great place. Hidden gem is the trading post justdown tbe road. They have everything to keep you on the beach, and better prices than in town.
Love our stay
Don't Believe the Photos! - No Beach on Property! - Bait and switch!
The number one reason we chose this property at Cape San Blas was for the close proximity and easy access to the beach when hauling beach gear. The line in their description, "You can't get any closer to the water than this beauty!" turned out to be a really bad joke. There is no beach in front of this property. Don't believe the outdated photos. The water is all the way to the bulkhead. And, there is no easy access. No stairs to the beach. Facing the water, the house to the right is totally fenced off, so there is no access on that side. On the left side, there is a very steep area of dune that was referred to by management as "treacherous." So, if you can navigate that "access," you are actually using the beach in front of someone else's house. I understand that beachfront properties erode and need to be rebuilt after storms. My only problem is that management knew this a long time ago, at least since February. Not only did they not tell us ahead of time so that we could make an informed decision, Suzanne told us when we got there that someone was supposed to have called us. Their solution was to put us in another of their properties for the same price. The problem with that is it was 165 steps to the beach. So, we had a week at the beach. The beach and water was not as nice where they put us, and we did not have easy access. We did not get what we paid for. They didn't think they owed us a discount. They felt that they put us in a nicer place. But, it is not the property we wanted. Very deceptive.
