Sula, Montana is in one of the most beautiful valleys in Montana, and the area is great for wildlife viewing opportunities, especially for bighorn sheep.

Just 15 minutes from Lost Trail Powder Mountain, and located directly on the Lewis & Clark Trail, the cabin offers a unique blend of outdoor adventure and quiet retreat. You’ll find direct access to some of Montana’s most beautiful fly-fishing water, along with cozy, artfully finished interiors that reflect the spirit of the region.

**We do not have TVs as the surrounding nature is just too beautiful! We have Starlink Wifi for streaming shows or games on your iPad or other device**.

Note this property does have stairs to the second floor, stairs to enter, and stairs off the back deck.

Why should I visit Sula, Montana?

Lost Trail Hot Springs: Their main attraction is a beautiful, chemical-free, hot springs pool. The natural, mineral, hot springs bubble up from the ground at 107° year-round.

Lost Trail Ski Area: This is the Bitterroot Valley's home ski area. Inexpensive and great terrain make this a great place to ski or board in the winter. Hop across the street to enjoy groomed cross-country ski and snowmobiling trails.

Ross' Hole: Named for a Hudson Bay fur trader, Alexander Ross, who spent the severe winter of 1824 in the area. Turn off US Highway 93 along the East Fork Bitterroot River and follow into the heart of Ross’ Hole. This road accesses the Bitterroot National Forest and the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness.

Big Hole National Battlefield: Just under an hour drive from Sula, visit the Big Hole National Battlefield near Wisdom, Montana and learn an important piece of our history.

Note: Shooting, hunting and fireworks on the property are prohibited. The home is adjacent to millions of acres of national forest, which we want to keep safe.

The closest town to Sula is Darby, MT, best known for its proximity to the Chief Joseph Ranch where the tv show Yellowstone was filmed. Darby is a fun town with year-round events including:

Winter
Christmas Tree Lighting + Christmas Caroling – First Weekend in December. An evening lighting of the Christmas Tree in front of the Library followed by carols and cocoa in the clubhouse.
Darby Dog Derby – Mushing Competition. Winter Date TBA

Summer
Strawberry Days – An annual celebration and fundraiser hosted by the Darby Fire Department in the Main Street Park. Fresh strawberry shortcake, music, and entertainment for all. Hosted on the third Saturday of July each year.
