This place was wonderful. It had beautiful flowers outside. The inside has plenty of sleeping accommodations and very clean. We had a good night stay and would definitely stay again.
A cozy, very comfortable and lovely home in East Glacier. Easy walk to everything you need. Very kind and responsive host. East Glacier is the perfect spot to base your exploration of Glacier National Park, and this is the perfect place to stay in East Glacier.
This really was a charming home built as a summer cottage with wood and charming decor, and now with an addition too. Very quiet. Our first time in East Glacier, it was a great location to visit Two Medicine, St. Mary and Browning. The owner must live here part time, lots of plants and photos. A wildflower in a vase greeted us. We would stay again.
My house is situated in one of the small towns located on the Blackfeet Nation. The Nation consists of 1.5 million acres bordering Glacier Park to the west, Canada to the north, the community of Cut Bank east and Birch Creek south. As a tribal member, I worked as the community health educator for the Indian Health Service hospital in Browning, retiring a few years ago. I have shared my house with guests in the past and have enjoyed folks coming through. Please have an enjoyable visit and make yourself at home.
My favorite place on the reservation is St Mary Lake! But it was too far a commute to go to Browning 12 months in all weather. I had lived in town and in the country before and EG is a nice in-between.
My place was built in 1998 by local log house builder Bill Salois (see unpainted area above shower in downstairs bathroom). Bill was a great craftsman and several log places around EG were built by him and his sons. I added the large living room to accommodate my children and grands along with my four siblings and their families in 2005 after living here a couple of years.
