Great little cabin

We loved our stay here! It was super cozy and we had a great experience, I would absolutely recommend a vehicle that is 4 wheel drive if you are coming in the winter months the driveway is a little intimidating and can be difficult to get turned around in. I would also recommend bringing all of your basics with you or planning to shop for them, we needed oven mits, laundry soap and salt and pepper. You will likely need to wash towels if your staying with multiple people over a few days but they check in/out process was super easy and convenient. We did run into all of the tvs and internet as well as a few other appliances all being unplugged upon arrival so check those before you put in a maintenance ticket. Overall we had a great stay and would book again.

Cozy Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We chose this cabin because of the 2 King bedrooms and baths for 2 couples. The cabin was decorated cute and the beds were very comfortable. I wouldn't stay here again because of the tricky driveway and there are lots of steps. It's very narrow and difficult for 2 large Silverado trucks. It's also a good idea to go by the office first and get a map to this property. It wouldn't come up on Google Maps. There is only a wooded view, but the creek sounds nice.

A bit of false advertisement and a little unclean

Driveway is a bit scary, helps to have an additional person to help navigate so you don’t drive off the ledge into the creek. When we arrived there was jelly spills on the fireplace, so I’m not sure it was properly cleaned before us. Pool table is awful. We booked this place because of the wooden walkouts from the cabin. Well only the circular one is open. The other one is boarded up for no access. This cabin could use some updates for sure. There’s no where to put your stuff because there is stuff everywhere. Very over decorated. The coffee pot takes 35 minutes to brew a pot. They do not provide anything extra. Only thing provided were a few disks of hand soap and 2 dishwasher packets. No coffee. There was a welcome letter on the counter for the previous renters, thanking them for their stay. Looked old and wet, so again not sure it was properly cleaned. The final kicker was the jacuzzi tub in the master suite. We used it the final night and it basically drained into the downstairs bathroom. Floor was drenched. Everything on counter was ruined.

We enjoyed our weekend getaway

Reviewer Comments: Liked the location easy to get to in wears Valley, flowing water sound, privacy, porches, unlevel pool table, views, jacuzzi type tub, floor plan, real log cabin feel. The outside hot tub was nice but would have preferred it to be on main or upper porch not on bottom level. the tight driveway was not a negative for us. We Would rent this cabin again. RE/MAX Cove is recommended as well in Wears Valley

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a very nice cabin in need of minor upkeep. The interior of the cabin is nicely decorated and well laid-out. The mattresses seemed worn out (or maybe are just overly soft). I woke up with a sore back the first few mornings and did not sleep well the entire trip. The cabin is fairly secluded but still a short drive to the main highway. The creek is relaxing and the deck area is very nice but also in need of repair. A few broken, missing, and loose boards meant we had to watch the children closely, but they enjoyed walking over the creek. The driveway has a tight turn that was not bad in the SUV that we came in, but we were glad that we had not come in our F250. The living areas of the cabin were very clean but spiderwebs are visible overhead in several rooms. Overall we enjoyed this cabin but would be hesitant to stay again due to the mattresses.

Creek Song Cabin

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall the cabin was nice. We enjoyed our stay. This is just an honest review to try to be of help to others. The inside was very nice. There were only two thing that we saw that needs to be addressed. The heating and cooling vents in the floor were very nasty and the bottom was broken on one of the living room chairs. Everything else inside was very nice. The main reason we chose this cabin was because all the steps and walkways looked amazing to our grandchildren in the pictures. We were all very disappointed when we saw them. They were in very bad shape to the point of needing to be closed off. So if you’re going because the walkways and steps, I wouldn’t. The check-in and check-out went perfectly and the location is very nice.

Not Luxurious and Not Worth Price

Some issues we had/noticed, other guests noted in their reviews years ago. We kept tripping on round rug in living room and chair is still broken. Took cushion off and one side has no support at all. Leather couch is worn out. Dusty and cobwebs everywhere. Sheets too small for bed. Very cluttered. Poor layout leaves little area to walk inside. Same for bedrooms. In main floor bedroom, dresser drawers and closet were full so no place to unpack suitcases. Pool table is beat up and sags in the middle. Walkway lights didn’t work. Didn’t try grills so don’t know if they work. Used oven and then realized there are no oven mitts. Had to use dish towel to get dinner out. We picked this cabin for the wooden walkways, many decks, and to hear the creek. The wood is soft and wobbly on walkway and seating area was covered in leaves and acorns. No screens in windows so we couldn’t hear the creek inside. Driveway is tricky and not meant for more than one vehicle. Would not stay here again and wouldn’t recommend.

September 2023 Stay

We had a great time. The house is beautiful and well decorated. The stream was flowing great and can be heard inside. We had to clean the steps, walkway and seating areas as they were covered in leaves and sticks that have been there for quite some time. Spiders were all over the place. We didn’t see any wildlife including birds. The house is tucked away nicely where you feel that no one else is around. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful location

Mother/daughter trip and we really enjoyed the property. Needs a good thorough cleaning to get rid of the spiders inside though. The walk ways and decks down by the creek are very old…safe but very old. We ended up not enjoying those like we thought. The driveway is not for motorcycles. A bit dangerous but was okay in our car. Would def stay there again.

Cabin in the woods

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin is really in the Smoky mountains. Beautiful location. I did read reviews that the driveway was narrow. However, it's a lot worse than just narrow. There is a large drop prior to entering the actual driveway and then a small location to try and turn around so you can back into the driveway. I had to get out of the car every time to ensure we didn't drive off to the creek below. First day I was stung multiple times by wasps. We called the next day as myself and my husband were both stung again. They did send someone to take care of the nest but not all of it. They did say they would call pest control but we didn't want to wait so we bought wasp spray and sprayed ourselves. We didn't want to use the deck that went out by the creek.The cabin had an outdated deck and a few spots were soft and there was a part of the railing that was not connected on the bottom. Would be bad for small children.We also had an issue with the electric in the bedroom. We filled out a request and they called Monday morning to come fix it along with the wasps nest. Inside of the cabin was nice. I personally do not like a lot of nick nacks and there were a lot of them everywhere. It was hard to put our items out. There wss a lot of dust everywhere on these items too. There was a chair in the living room that was broken and multiple broken dishes. The beds were comfortable but the mattresses were so large that the sheets would not stay on them. I requested new sheets but that did not help. The location was good, and it really was in the mountains. Just needs some updates and definitely needs to be looked at for wasps nests.

Home in the trees

We felt like we were in a treehouse! We loved the calm and peace and quiet. Internet service was spotty but with it being our honeymoon we didnt mind a bit. Wear's Valley was so lovely and we are so glad we didnt pick a place near all the touristy places.

Nice and relaxing

We had a nice, relaxing get away trip for the weekend. The creek running through the property sounded amazing, we enjoyed sitting out in the swing listening to it. . Cabin could use some updating but everything worked and was functional, so can’t complain! We would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were not very happy with our stay access to the cabin was difficult. The porch floor was broken and felt soft in places. I had trouble getting the fireplace to light the water had a bad smell and the springs in living room chair was broken when I sat in it like falling in a hole. The hot tub was on a lower level that wasn't accessible from the living area. I've been staying in Wears Valley with Cove reality for 25 years but I will NEVER STAY at Creek Song again. Very dissatisfied
