Shell Castle est notre chalet le plus spacieux, avec une chambre pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 10 personnes. Profitez de la vue sur l'océan depuis le pont côté mer et profitez de la courte promenade jusqu'à l'accès à la plage. Doté de quatre chambres, dont deux maîtres avec lits king, salle de bain complète et accès au pont, une avec une reine et une autre avec deux jumeaux ainsi que 2. 5 bains supplémentaires, Shell Castle a tout le confort de la maison. La grande cuisine, salle à manger et salon avec cheminée et vue sur l'océan offre un espace agréable pour les rassemblements collectifs. Une zone de coin séparée avec TV offre un espace de détente supplémentaire pour les grands groupes.

My Happy Place

First time this far down the island and we will be returning! Nice relaxing environment and house was absolutely perfect! Also highly recommend the Cockeyed Clam!

Lovely house but disappointing service

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house and location were lovely. The office was closed for the week due to holidays but we did not have sheets for one of the beds making it unusable. We reached out to the phone number and email the office shared with us but no one contacted us. We tried 4-5 times hoping we could get a set of sheets and use the bed and be comfortable. There was also a tornado warning and severe weather one day but no one checked on us. I work in hospitality and we never shut down - never to customers. Someone is also there to ensure the guests are safe and comfortable.

30th birthday

I booked the house for my friend’s 30th birthday and we had a blast! The location was ideal, the property was clean. I loved that each bathroom was a good size and not cramped and the fact that the water got hot almost instantly when taking a shower and wasn’t impacted if we all took showers at the same time. The views were awesome. Definitely nice to wake up and see a beautiful sunrise from our decks.

Clean and Close to Everything

This house was very clean. It's a lot closer to the ocean than described which was a pleasant surprise. All but one bedroom had a private bathroom - another perk. Close to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, restaurants, bait shops and both grocery stores (FL and Conners). Only downfall was the lack of kitchen essentials - only 2 silicone potholders and low quality pots/pans. We made the best of it and came prepared after reading other reviews. Again, it was very clean which is a sticking point for me.

Nice home steps from beach

Spacious home with nice views of the ocean. Good place for families with pets. Right next to the pool/ hottub that is shared with other houses.

Thanksgiving week at the Shell Castle

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Couldn't ask for a better house and location to spend Thanksgiving week with the family. House has the perfect layout for both privacy and togetherness for a family with a 4 bedroom needs. This is a rare house that allows 2 dogs, which we needed. Excellent location for fishing and all the necessities of shopping close by. We have vacationed in this house on two consecutive Thanksgiving weeks, and will always check on availability here first for future vacations. Love it!

We are always surprised to see the changes that have been made when we return each year. The Perfect Location

We were in Buxton in Mid April, the weather was beautiful and the area is quiet then and less commercial than the northern part of the island. We enjoyed nice long walks near the lighthouse and the ferry ride to Ocracoke Island. The house was clean and the management addressed any concerns quickly. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Good location - although we expected their to be a beach out front and it was all sandbagged - it would have been nice to know that up front but there are lots of great beaches within driving distance. The kitchen could have been stoked with some additional equipment (we had to go out and buy a spatula) but overall we really enjoyed it and would stay there again.

Wonderful stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 4 adults 3 teenagers and one adolescent. We all fit quite comfortably in this spacious vacation home in Buxton NC OBX. The accommodations were clean and comfortable with plenty of dining table surface and seating. Whether eating or relaxing watching TV. Just steps from the beach which also provided plenty of family space. Parking underneath to keep vehicles and fishing gear out of the sun and elements. Two decks to lounge on with a nice view of the beach.

Being a surfer this is one of my favorite spots. Shell Castle is well equipped and we love the big living/dining/kitchen area and big deck to sit out and watch the sunrise, ocean and stars.
