Gentle sweetness and just the right blend of creature modern comfort and rustica selva jungla, all here is divine... from bed linens to hot water bathtub, this place is an exquisite gem perfected for meditation, clarity, and communing with Nature!
We chose to stay here to get away from the hustle and bustle of Tulum. The location is great...20 minutes from Tulum (mostly for groceries). Our purpose of the trip was to visit the cenotes and Mayan ruins in the area. The casita was a good location for this. We were only 10 minutes from Coba and there are a couple of interesting little towns in-between to explore.
The caretaker/manager was very responsive to our needs. We had a little incident with the stove but he fixed it quickly. I would recommend this for a couple only as the single bed upstairs was quite warm even with a fan. One could sleep on the couch however.
We admired all the personal touches Suzy has made to her place. And Suzy was was also very responsive to our questions.
A delightful space providing a special vacation experience inside and out. The property is tastefully decorated with all the comforts of home. The trees provide a lot of shade, a little on the dark side. The location is out of the way, approx. 20 minute drive to Tulum and its beaches. We enjoyed our stay! Note the owner requires extra insurance to be paid in US funds.
We thoroughly enjoy our stay at this lovely home. Susie the home owner was easy to communicate with, and the home was clean and we felt completely safe and secure here. Its just a short trip into Tulum, Coba and several Cenotes
If you think that the photographs may already have satisfied you.. once you open the door of that gate youâll be astonished by the beauty of the place that will host you. A wonderful home, a care for the perfect details of the villa and the taste of the incredible furnishings surrounded by nature. A large spacious garden with a swimming pool that serves to refresh those hot days in Tulum. Really congratulations to Susy and to those who designed this house. I sometimes had the impression of being in a dream for how it was furnished for the tranquility and pacefoul than spending time there. 100% recommended â„ïž
I absolutely ADORED this house. Although it's far away from the beach and Tulum town, this is hands down the most romantic place I've seen. I came with my sister but would definitely come back with my husband. The host was very helpful, and Gabriel the key keeper helped us with everything.
This is a sweet little place that I could imagine being on Pinterest. Everything seems to be custom made, which really gives it a personal touch. The little splash pool in the back is great for afternoon relaxing & cooling off. The only thing I can think of that might not be good for someone is that there might be spiders or other critters that come in, however, they seem to die shortly after they come in the place, so I imagine they take care of that with pesticide & it may have been time fort that to be maintained; it is in the jungle after all, so it should be expected. Overall, we loved this little gem, and the owner was very receptive to any inquiries that we had. Thank you Suzy...we love your place!!
I can't describe in words how amazing this place is. Suzy has created a magical oasis in the jungle that is so serene and peaceful. Her carefully curated design style really made it one of the best places we've ever stayed, we just wished we had booked our stay longer. You don't want to pass this experience up!
Gorgeous space for creating and immersing in nature
Very happy we stayed here we found it very creative and inspiring, and were able to connect deeply to the nature and jungle surrounding the beautiful space. Great meditation and yoga on the mezzanine every morning!
We have stayed in many homes during our travels, but this was by far one most beautiful places we have been. We absolutely LOVED the space, the property, the pool, and the peace that we felt being here. If we find our way back to Tulum, we would DEF stay here again!! Thanks for a beautiful place to call home on our journey!
After a long day at the beach, exploring cenotes and ruins it was wonderful to come back to our jungle hideaway. We were very comfortable in this beautiful space. We realize that Susan's home is still work in progress but it did not take away from feeling very special to be able to spend time here. The dipping pool added refreshing relief after being under the hot sun all day. What we loved about the house is how it opened up to the outdoors . We were very comfortable and felt very safe.
Ive been experiencing the magic and wonder of Tulum since 1998. I am an Independent contractor in the film, fashion and music business. I live between New York City and my home in Tulum, Mexico. I welcome professional person(s) who are responsible, conscientious, and independent. And Clean! Please send me a message if you are interested in my listing. I look forward to hearing from you and sharing this little sanctuary. Peace.
I love this property because it reminds me of how Tulum used is be. Innocently "off the grid" so to speak. My very first visit to Tulum was in 1998. It was very much off the radar, because it was undeveloped and naturally beautiful. One could be left undisturbed and completely unplug. I love this property because you have that feel and privacy but can easily access everything today's more modern Tulum has to offer. It's the best of both worlds. I had been looking for quiet some time and knew this property was right from the moment I passed by it after dropping off a yogi friend of mine who lived down the street. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
The fresh cenote pool! It is a mineral bath and rest cure. Tree trunk bathtub. The bed! Like a cloud. Quiet nature and beautiful jungle vibe. Beautiful birds and butterflies. Also, sustainable, eccofriendly, & built sourcing local materials by the indigenous Maya in the traditional Mayan style.
