Notre cabine rustique confortable avec accès à la plage et parc d'État est au coin de la rue pour lancer votre bateau. Il y a 2 chambres et canapé-lit queen size, 1 salle de bain et entièrement meublé. Animaux acceptés, mais la cour n'est pas clôturée, alors apportez votre laisse. La cabane est située par des sentiers menant à la zone de loisirs de Black Mountain qui a des kilomètres de sentiers de randonnée, de VTT, de VTT et d'équitation. Onaway State Park est à seulement 1/4 mile avec lancement de bateau, Ocqueoc Falls (les seules chutes dans le Lower Michigan) est à 15 miles. Mackinaw, Petosky, Cheybogan à 40 minutes. Assurez-vous de vous détendre autour du foyer le soir et regardez le ciel nocturne s'illuminer d'étoiles. Restaurants, bars, dépanneurs et magasins de matériel à proximité - Plus UAW Family Education Center et Black Lake UAW Golf Club à quelques minutes. Ruisseaux à truite Blue-Ribbon, esturgeon jaune, doré jaune, maskinongé, perche et brochet. Location tout-sport disponible auprès des vendeurs de la région. Black Lake est un magnifique lac de 10 000 acres où vous pourrez nager, bronzer, faire du bateau, pêcher, faire de la motoneige, du vélo, de la randonnée ou simplement vous détendre sur la plage.

Wonderfull Value

Sweet location with Black Lake across the street, a really great State Park literally around the corner, and a shaded lot. The neighborhood is quiet and child friendly. Now the cottage is very rustic but all the essentials are functional and we liked the great water pressure. The August fishing in the area was pretty darned good!

Lovely location but....

Great location, nice cottage somewhat dated, ceiling tiles looked like they were ready to fall, and black mold in a couple places in the kitchen. Hot water really stinks has a fungus needs treatment. Otherwise a nice cottage in a great location.

Rustic Cabin

We rated this property lower because we thought that it was directly on the water based on the photos but it wasn’t. There is a short walk to get to the beach. I had envisioned sitting on a porch looking at the lake and was disappointed. The amenities were adequate for our needs and consistent with the rustic description. The owner responded very quickly to our questions.

Quiet & Relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed, was clean and very quiet. We sat on the beach, hiked, and checked out the falls; it was great we could bring the dogs for a small fee. My boys had to "unplug" for a few days, which was nice to sit and watch a movie and play a few games. Karen was very quick in her replies with questions too. I would have given 5 stars had the beds been newer and comfortable; it was like sleeping on a box spring (the only negative comment for the Little Cottage). I think the summer season would offer even more actives where we could enjoy the water.

WOW

Poor impression. In need of repairs. Hot water faucet in kitchen leaks. Hot water unusable due sulpher issues in hot water heater tank, smell was horrendous. We boiled water for washing dishes, refridgeratir was unplugged with food in it and doors closed, bottom trays were full of water due freezer thawing. We resolved issue for use. Lamp in living room should be replaced, switch does not work. STAR WE THE ABOVE PLEASE

Property is in definite need of TLC. Everything throughout the property is dated. Although fans are provided, the bedroom windows need screens to allow airflow and cooling for sleeping. Because there is no airflow, the entire house smells musty. Due to no water softener, the water (especially the hot) has a very strong Sulphur smell which clings to your skin after showering. On the positive side, check-in was easy, the location was ideal for our purposes, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for four adults.

Just okay

Could just barely see the lake. No real lake access. Had to drive down to the state park. Windows don't open, so it's musty in there. One of the fans didn't work well, so I'm glad we brought our own. Definitely needs to be updated. All the furniture for sure. It ended up just being my wife and I with our dog, but apparently this place could host 6, which I would not recommend. Pretty small place. It worked for us and we were able to get to other things in the general up north area, but this is a last resort option. No wifi and no phone service, so just have that expectation. Just okay.

Cute cabin that needs some love

When door code is sent by VRBO it does not stay in your email you need to have WiFi to retrieve it. So at check in I messaged the owner asking she text me the code. To this day (a day after check out) I have never received a response. We had to go to town to get WiFi to be able to get code to enter. Very moldy smell in house, all four adults were coughing and sneezing all weekend. Bedroom windows have no screens so you can’t open the windows for airflow, that would help a lot. The place is a very cute up north cabin that is in need of some TLC. Looking at the reviews you see the same comments musty, no screens, tv’s don’t work. Over all it was fairly clean and the beds were comfortable so it fit our needs. But with some more effort it could be much nicer.

There was no land for kids or pets to go outside and play. No easy access to beach. The inside smelled of mildew, windows did not open, bedding was stained, holes in ceiling and walls, mouse poop in the cupboards, laundry room had no wall was covered in plastic, shower floor was disgusting. We ended up leaving. Unsafe, unsanitary, overall horrible.

Trip cut short due to unsatisfactory property conditions.

The house had a musty smell and was damp. We opened to doors but the windows did not open and/or did not have screens. No air circulation in either bedroom. We used the available fans and that helped. There were mouse droppings in a kitchen cupboard along with a half eaten nut shell suggesting a bigger guest had joined the mouse. The shower door did not close leaving a 6-8 inch opening while showering. The air conditioning/heating/fan did not work. There were 2 piles of used charcoal in the back yard. We left after 1 of our planned 3 night stay. I was able to contact the property owner who responded quickly to my message. She said that she was not aware of the concerns I raised and would check with her cleaning team. We would not stay here again.

Nice area of Michigan.

We enjoyed our stay but the property could use some TLC and a few upgrades. Since there is no A/C and the bedroom windows do not permit screens, they should add a close clearance ceiling fan in each bedroom. That small addition would have made the trip much more enjoyable.

I would stay again because there isn’t much for rent in the area. We have a truck show we go to every year and don’t want to haul the camper. But there is no WiFi, and we couldn’t get any stations to come in on the television. We had to buy batteries for the remote and hook up the DVD player to a smaller tv to get something to watch. Tv is a must if you have kids with you. There wasn’t any dish towels. Owner didn’t answer when I asked about the tv dvd situation.

Onaway stay

I was OK with the property, at best. My wife, not so much. First this she noticed was stained bedsheets. The place needs a general over-all sprucing up. Water has a terrible smell which may or may not be the fault of the owners. There is not Wifi nor cable/Satellite TV which would have enhanced our evenings. The TV had three channels and the reception on Saturday night was terrible, so much so we opted not to watch at all and, of course, no Wifi so couldn't watch anything on laptops. Ceiling tiles are sagging, light above sink is missing and a good dusting is in order. On the plus side: the bed was super comfy, the neighborhood is quiet and there is easy access to the beach. Our stay in Onaway was enjoyable but we would not stay at this residence again. Hunters and other woodmen might be OK with the place but if bringing your spouse for a nice getaway, fugetaboutit.

Not happy with the property. The smell was really bad.

We stayed 2 nights out of 5. Just because we couldn’t find a place to stay the other 2. We couldn’t stand the smell. The spider webs were extreme.

We’ve stayed here a few years now and really love it. It isn’t fancy, but it’s just right for our needs. Nice short walk to the beach and a very pretty area.

We loved it

Besides no internet and the TV only having 3 channels we had a good stay. The water was beautiful. The beds were so comfortable and its hard pleasing my husband with a comfortable bed. I would definitely stay again.
