The cabin exceeded my expectations! The entire property was perfect and as described. The host was very responsive to my messages. We couldn't be happier with the entire stay!!
We really enjoyed staying at the cabin. The bed is comfortable for a good nights sleep. The walk-in shower was very helpful for my husband who has back problems. The cabin was clean and well stocked with different items in case someone forgets something. The kitchen had a lot of supplies with plenty of counter space. It was really nice to sit on the back porch and enjoy the country setting.
We spent 3 nights in this cozy, comfortable, very clean, and very well stocked home. Many antiques in and outside, and wild flowers around the property abound! We were especially appreciative of all the environmentally friendly aspects of the home! It was a wonderful home base for biking the Huron Sunset Trail (so pretty along Lake Huron), hiking to the Ocqueoc Falls, and visiting Mackinaw Island (45 min away). Would definitely stay here again. Thinking it would be lovely in winter!
I just love this property, it close to my daughter and so comfortable, and so well stocked with anything you could need. The outdoor property is so peaceful and beautiful.
The cabin was easy to find, set back from the road, and well-appointed. There were notes from the owners about how to use the appliances and best practices, making everything easy to use and understand. There was a shop nearby, and several restaurants, all of which were friendly with great food.We got stormed on during one of our days, and it was a pleasure to just hang around and play games.
Superior viewsSecond to none cabin and propertyFantastic hospitalityNo detail missedEasy to findShort distance from everything we needed to see, find, and experience. I love staying here, the hostess is so kind, helpful and friendly. We book every year now and look forward to every single visit.
The cozy cabin was perfect for a nice get away. Beautiful front and back porch to view the sunrise or the snow fall in in winter. The natural light for the variety of windows was refreshing. Its a must see to appreciate kind of Cabin.
Beautiful home and property. We have stayed here several times and will no longer stay anywhere else. It is always very clean and well stocked with thoughtful supplies.
This is our second stay at the cabin and it was just as great as the first. It is clean, stocked with everything you could have possibly forgotten or need, and the bed is the most comfortable Iâve ever slept in. Maj-Lis is always an incredible host, and we look forward to returning!
What a beautiful place to stay while we explored a part of Michigan we weren't familiar with. Beautiful country setting. Very clean with thoughtful amenities. It is located on a busy road, but traffic noise wasn't an issue during the night. We'd highly recommend!

I was born and raised in Onaway, MI but moved to Nashville, TN in 1996. I am happy to say I am once again a Michigander as we moved to Ann Arbor in 2025! My husband Daryl and I are extremely happy to host your stay. My very large family, The Chapmans, mostly all still live in and around Onaway and are all on board for helping my guests whenever needed. My dad, Clark Chapman, and brother Jesse are my onsite handymen and my cleaning crew is lead by my close cousin, Jeanie.
This is truly a family venture and we are so excited to have you stay with us. This is a working farm so you might see our fields being cared for by Mike as he plants and harvests wheat, barley and corn. The sunflower are a labor of love by my dad and my Uncle Mark, Uncle Terry and brothers Jesse, Travis and Tyler keep the 100s of flowers arranged and blooming. Feel free to pick flowers on your stay. Come spring we will tap the maple trees to harvest for making syrup in cousin Chucks sugar shack and every fall the apple trees share enough fruit for dad to can some amazing applesauce. The big bard in over 100 years old and you are welcome to take photos near it but please do not go inside. The painted sunflowers ( by my niece Lina ) make an amazing photo op to share with your friends.
Being a family run venture there is always someone close by to help you if anything goes wrong or is needed. We don't sublet to an outside source to care for our guests. Feel free to wander the property and explore the beautiful landscape my family works hard to provide. Do not miss the sunrise from the front porch and you can catch an amazing sunset if you wander out in the fields and look west. Blackcap raspberries might be in harvest for your picking on the side of the shed and some beautiful grapes will show in summer on the vines.
