This bright, newly-renovated two-bedroom upper-level duplex unit is nestled on Ypsilantiâs east side just a few blocks from Depot Town, a quick ride to EMU, and a 20-min ride to Ann Arbor! We have a beautifully-renovated kitchen with granite countertops, custom tile backsplash, a gas grill outside on our upper level porch, and a fire pit with chairs around the back of our property which is shared with the guests in the lower unit. There's parking on the premises for two cars and free street parking for more. This is the perfect spot for any gathering or getaway!
Enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi, Amazon Fire TV, French Roast coffee pods + Keurig, Memory Foam beds, fresh linens, Solimo bath products, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Message us if thereâs anything we can help with!

Our home is the upper level (second story) of a duplex with its own entry via an exterior stairwell located right next to the driveway. The kitchen, living room, office nook, bathroom, and both bedrooms are all located on one level. Outside but up the stairs, we also have a gas grill and on the ground level through a small gate, you'll find a small sitting area with a fire pit that is shared with the lower level unit guests (also a rental unit).

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.
We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.
Parking

We share our driveway with the downstairs neighbor. Please park on the right-hand side of the driveway. We have installed signage for Apartment 2 (this unit) parking. Our side of the driveway fits up to two cars in tandem.
Please note thereâs no street parking on our street. If you need more parking space, there is extra free street parking available on the southbound side of a nearby street west of and perpendicular to our street, which is only a few steps away!

The unit is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock on the front door. To enter, type the code we provide in your reservation check-in instructions, and press the CHECK to unlock.
When leaving, type that same code followed by the CHECK mark and the deadbolt will close. The locks will also auto-lock after one minute if you forget to lock.

We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!

Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!
Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since weâre in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:
- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If youâre looking to host a small gathering, thatâs probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.
