Very clean with nice lake decor. Quiet and good location at the beginning of Tunnel of Trees. Nice sandy beach. Charming well informed hosts. This was my second visit.
We were able to destress due to the property's location, the property and the host's attention to details. We booked next year's stay even before we left the property. Highly recommend.
I had a delightful stay. The Boat House is a well-equipped and beautiful property. The owners were very helpful and friendly. I hope to return to Harbor Springs and stay at the Boat House again.
My husband and I stayed at the Boat House and loved it. It was very clean, updated, had all amenities needed and the private beach was perfect.
The location was quiet and within close range to the tunnel of trees, Petoskey, parks and shopping.
I recommend going to the Pond Hill Farm (5 minutes away) for plenty of children activities, food, beverages and a band.
We had a great stay here.
3 Girlfriends stayed two nights. Long walks on the beach, short trips to Harbor Springs and Petoskey.
Host Dave shared his passion with his boat, plane and trains and gave us a tour of his workshop. Beautiful place to stay.
Pam and Dave were very helpful and very good at communicating with us! The place is very clean and has everything you could need. It is right on the water and the beach view is wonderful. We had a great extended get away. I would highly recommend staying here!
The beach is unbelievable and quiet. The space is very clean and as shown. It is quite tight, but again, they clearly show that in the pictures. I enjoyed our stay.
This rental was just what we needed! It was a cozy, perfect space to come back to after long days on the slopes. And, it was a short drive to our new favorite dining and sledding spot- Pond Hill Farm. The rental was exceptionally clean, with great towels and linens. The view was amazing. My family would highly recommend this place!
The boat house was sparkling clean and perfect for my stay! I had such a wonderful time and Pam was great. Very easy to communicate with. Thank you so much for your hospitality. Iâll be back next year for sure!!
The boathouse was a lovely place to stay. It was cozy during a rainy week. Very comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen (except for a freezer, which really wasnât a problem). Wonderful hosts and beautiful beach. I will return!
Our family of four had a great week at the boat house. Pam and Dave are very gracious and helpful hosts. The apartment is quite cute and cozy, well supplied, and extremely clean. Best of all, the beach is amazing! We look forward to returning next year.
We loved our time at Pam and Daveâs Boathouse. This truly is a hidden gem and was the key to our relaxing and fun week in Northern Michigan. The space was perfect for our family of three, including a pack and play, booster seat and blackout shades in the bedrooms to make traveling with an infant easy. The boathouse is steps away from the lake, which made for a relaxing and fun-filled week. We so enjoyed our time here!
This was our second stay in less than a year! The location on the beach is peaceful and quiet. Easy drive into downtown. I would highly recommend this property but donât want this gem to become too well known or it wonât be available for our next trip (sorry Dave!).
We loved having our own beachfront and the ability to have a fire on the beach. The apartment was perfect for the 2 of us. Super comfy bed in the main bedroom and a set of bunk beds in the second bedroom. All the amenities you need for an enjoyable stay. We will rent again!
This is a beautiful location just steps from the beach. It is cozy, clean and has been outfitted well (pots/pans, knives, linens etc.) which is not always the case with rentals. The owners are next door, and friendly and accessible but not in your face. We had a lovely, relaxing week and hope to go back in the future.
Dave and I have always loved traveling and have stayed in many vacation rentals over the past 20 years. We originally built the garage apartment next door for our son and his family but they're only here for 2 weeks a year. Now we want to share our slice of beach, lake and fun with fellow travelers.
The cottage next door, where we live fulltime, was built in 1880 and moved from Harbor Point to its current location by horses across frozen Lake Michigan at the turn of the 20th Century. My great grandparents, grandparents, my father, my aunts, myself, my children and now my grandchildren have spent every summer here since 1920 when my father was brought up here on the train in a laundry basket!
My grandfather came up to Bay View when he was eleven. He came back up in 1920 looking for a summer rental for his young family to escape the heat in Indianapolis. My grandmother vetted his choices over the phone by asking, "How do you get to the beach?" The other two cottages involved crossing railroad tracks and roads. When talking about this cottage, the answer was, "You just cross the sidewalk."
