** Tous les nouveaux meubles ont été ajoutés à chaque suite du Phoenix All Suites West Hotel, situé en bord de mer, à Gulf Shores, en Alabama. Les travaux de modernisation de l'intérieur ont été achevés en décembre 2016. **

La suite lumineuse et confortable d'une chambre, avec cinq salles de bains pour six personnes est située au 15ème étage de l'hôtel Phoenix All Suites West.

A little outdated

Spring break with granddaughters.

Property was nice but bathroom floor in the corners was dirty. The elevators were terrible had to wait for a long time. I finally called security last night because of the upper suite people had been so noisy all thru each night either opening and closing the sliding patio door, sliding bar stools across the floor and loud during the night. Beach was nice but I would not stay at this property again. We are VRBO owners also and understand some of the problems.

A bit run down

The elevator situation is horrible. They take a long time and got stuck several times while I was there. Our refrigerator didn’t even close. Didn’t keep food cold. My milk actually spoiled. The condo was ok for a lil 2 day getaway with the kids but not sure if we will ever go back there.

The unit was very nice. The building was obnoxiously noisy.

The unit was nice. Everything operated well. Everything except the floor was nicely cleaned. The tile floor was only broom clean and left feet and socks very dirty. The building made obnoxious noise in the air vent systems and from the wind against the building possibly due to proximity to roof. When the wind changed direction and came from inland the unit door whistled loudly and leaked air terribly. We had one day of stormy weather but the wind noise happened throughout even normal wind conditions.

It was okay

I never like to ball out when it comes to beach condos / hotels simply because we do not go to the beach to stay in a hotel. However, when we do book, we expect certain basic things to work and flow. CONS: 1. Check-in time is at 4pm. Nothing says “Beginning” at 4pm or from 4pm - 6pm. It says 4pm in black and white. After driving 6 hours and timing our grocery pickup at 3:30, we expected to check-in at 4pm. We didn’t get to check in until 5pm. We had cold groceries and no where to put them. When I called, they said, “It begins at 4pm.” I told them that was not accurate. 2. The refrigerator didn’t work. It never was cold. We had groceries that were ruined and gross because one, they didn’t get put away, and two, when they did, the refrigerator didn’t work. We called maintenance and the guy came in and said, “these are just old. There isn’t much we can do.” Ummmmm okay! 3. The elevator situation is a total nightmare. We waited on elevators literally 15-20 minutes. They move extremely slow. 4.There is no washer & dryer in the unit FYI. 5. We found a half-eaten little Debbie confeti brownie under one of the kids’ bunk pillows. The top one to be exact. PROS: 1. The beds were comfy. 2. For a last minute booking, the price was decent. 3. Check-in process is simple (if you can get checked in on-time.) Will not be coming back to this location.

Beautiful view with excellent beach access.

Condo had everything we needed. Staff was excellent. Furniture was somewhat worn but wouldn’t keep me from renting again.

Good for families

We had a great time. The condo was clean and fit us perfectly. It is a little older but it is updated. Perfect location. I do wish they had a hot tub. Only negative. But everything else was great.

Great for the price!

For my husband and I, the price and size was perfect. In an effort to save money and spend more time at the beach, we always eat breakfast and lunch at the condo. However, there was no skillets at all (4 spatulas though), no pizza pan (2 pizza cutters) and only 2 forks. But, I would definitely stay again. I'd just scout out the kitchen better before I went shopping.

You get what you pay for

The people there were very nice and helpful. The only light bulbs available were incandescent light bulbs. These bulbs cause migraines and I had a headache ever day until I went to buy new light bulbs. They were renovating the condos and were getting ready to paint until I called the office and told them that I have Pulmonary Hypertension, which is a heart and lung disease, and I can't be around chemicals. She called and they stopped painting next door. Like I said the people were very nice and accommodating. However, one of the gentlemen and one of the women who work there do smoke on the property, even though there are no smoking signs everywhere and I had to sign a form stating that I would not smoke on the condo or on the balcony. We smelled smoke in our condo a couple of times and once I did call the office and report it. She asked me which condo and I didn't know which condo, but she said she would look into the problem. The furniture is cheap and not comfortable. They do have cushions, but the cushions are hard. Also the wooden furniture on the balcony is not favorable for people who lounge there during the day. This was the best deal financially, but I will pay a little more next time. I have stayed in more comfortable hotel rooms, and technically this is a hotel. Having the cleaning service daily if you wanted it was a nice option and they did replace toilet paper, towels, paper towels, and garbage bags.

Pass if you can lol ! Dirty carpet , small , terrible hard bed . Would not give gerund for early checkout . Wanted to move to nicer place , would not refund me 😡 Wifi is a joke could never connect ! NEVER and they were not sold out 😑😑😑

I am disappointed to read this review. We have had many guests stay with us this summer and have not heard any complaints such as this. We will certainly look at what needs to be done to make our condo comfortable and attractive for our guests. I will also contact the association to see what can be done to make the Wifi assessable. Pretty nice

Nice property. Everything worked as it should. However, the entire place reeked of marijuana. Almost like the people that stayed before us smoked weed in it. Leaving the balcony door open for a little bit helped but it was very strong when we first walked in.

I wish you would have called the front desk upon your arrival. Although I doubt the smell was what you describe, we certainly would have sent someone up to investigate and neutralize any issue. The lobby desk is open 24 / 7 to help make your vacation as comfortable as possible. We hope to see you back again in the very near future

Great for the price!

My husband & I really enjoyed our stay! We brought our two year old son as well! Everything was nice for the price we paid! The pull out couch is definitely not comfortable but that is really the only complaint about the actual room. The condo is also very close to everything which is convenient! I will say that on the booking site it was not clear of how the renters age works. It states that if your under 25 & married you can rent but under 25 and single can not! I am 24 and married so we didn't think it would be a problem. When we arrived the lady took my drivers license and then saw I was 24. I explained that on the website it said if I was married it was fine. She then said they require a marriage license (that was never stated on the website & honestly who carries around a marriage license on vacation.) She then saw mine and my husbands name matched and had the same address so she said it would be fine! Be aware if you reserve a room they will turn you away if your married and under 25 if you don't have the same address and last name (she had actually told us she had to turn another couple away earlier that night.)

Room 1504 Phoenix All Suites West Hotel

Great stay! We only stayed 1 night but it was perfect for our quick beach vacation. Check-in on the 1st floor was easy. No problems with parking. Great view from the 15th floor. This room is about middle of the building. No problems with the elevators other than with only 2 and 16 stories, there can sometimes be a wait but it was never more than about 5 minutes. You can hear neighbors chairs sliding on the tile floor but that's expected given it's a hotel/condo building. Our room was ready before noon when we arrived so we were able to unpack right away and head right to the beach. Room was in good condition. Everything we needed for our stay was present in the room. We did notice the floor and carpets were a little dirty as our bare feet and sock feet got blackened pretty quickly from walking around. Bathrooms were clean and in good shape. Did not notice anything in the room that needed replacing or repair. Kids loved the bunk beds. The lower bed does not have a rail to keep little ones from falling out, but it's not that far of a fall so our kiddo didn't get hurt the couple times he rolled out. Beach was excellent! Well kept. No trash or debris on the sand. Lots of sea shells to look at. We used Ike's Beach Services during our trip and had no problems getting a nice umbrella/chair setup each day. The attendant adjusted our umbrella as the sun moved during the day. The beach are is a short, easy walk from the hotel to the beach. Will definitely come back! Thanks!
