Very disappointing experience at Hidden Hocha Haven, especially for what is advertised and priced as a luxury cabin. We ran into issue after issue during our stay: no propane in the grill which ruined dinner plans, stove and oven timers not working, stove barely heating, ice makers broken, bathroom plugs not working, terrible water pressure, extremely slow Wi-Fi, and water leaking from the upstairs shower into a downstairs bedroom. We also found a roach in one of the beds. On top of that, the rug corners were sticking up and my 75-year-old mother tripped and fell because of it.What made the experience worse was the response from the owner. Instead of taking accountability, the initial replies were defensive and full of excuses about cleaners not reporting issues or saying certain items were never advertised. A leaking shower, broken appliances, and maintenance issues throughout the cabin are not minor problems and should have been addressed long before guests arrived. We ended up leaving early because the stay was so disappointing. I’ve stayed in many cabins in Broken Bow and never had an experience this bad. After everything, receiving a generic message asking for a 5-star review felt insulting. For the amount of money spent, the condition of the property and the lack of professionalism and hospitality were unacceptable. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.
