Noise and quiet hours
• Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
• No parties or events are allowed at any time.
• Keep music, TV, and conversations at a level that cannot be clearly heard outside the property or through closed windows.
• DJ equipment, large speakers, and event-style sound systems are not allowed.
Conduct and compliance
• All guests must follow federal, state, and City of Newton laws and ordinances (including noise and public safety).
• Disorderly behavior—such as public intoxication, harassment, illegal drug use, fighting, vandalism, or any unlawful activity—is prohibited and may result in immediate cancellation without refund.
• Guests are responsible for any citations, fines, or penalties related to their conduct during the stay.
Trash and recycling
• Bag all household trash and place it in the designated outdoor trash barrel; do not leave loose trash or bags on the porch or outside.
• Place recyclables (no food soiled items or plastic bags) in the recycling barrel only.
• Roll barrels to the curb on Wednesday night for Thursday morning pickup, and return them to the house after collection.
• Do not leave barrels at the curb on non pickup days.
• Large items, hazardous materials, or construction debris may not be disposed of at the property.
Parking
• The driveway accommodates up to 3 vehicles.
• Park only in the driveway or legal on street spaces—no parking on lawns or landscaped areas.
• Do not block the sidewalk, neighbors’ driveways, or mailboxes.
• Weekdays: Street parking is typically limited to one hour where posted—always follow signs.
• Weekends: Street parking is generally more flexible, but check for posted restrictions.
• Do not park in front of fire hydrants, driveways, or crosswalks.
• Guests are responsible for any tickets or towing related to their parking.
Occupancy and visitors
• Maximum occupancy is 9 overnight guests (3 bedrooms).
• Only guests listed on the reservation may stay overnight.
• Any additional overnight guests require prior written approval and must not exceed the 9 person maximum.
• Day visitors are allowed with host approval, as long as they do not create crowding, noise, or any party like or event style use of the home.
Safety and smoking
• Do not tamper with smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, or any safety equipment.
• No smoking or vaping indoors.
• Outdoor smoking is permitted away from doors and windows; please dispose of cigarette butts safely and neatly.
• Serious or repeated rule violations, safety issues, or behavior that disturbs neighbors may result in the stay being ended early without refund.
