Welcome to Saw Mill Run Retreat, a luxury mountain escape just steps from Breckenridge's iconic Peak 8. Just minutes from the slopes and hiking trails, this 4-bedroom 5-bathroom retreat offers the perfect blend of alpine charm and modern comfort. With two living rooms, a private hot tub, a billiards table, a home office, and top-of-the-line appliances throughout, this home is ideal for families, friends, and groups seeking both adventure and relaxation.

Ski Access: This home offers true ski-in access from Breckenridge's world-renowned Ski Resort, perfect for beginner, intermediate, and advanced level skiers. With 3 nearby access points to the slopes, a short 10 minute walk is all it takes to start your day on the mountain. After carving turns and chasing powder, enjoy the unbeatable convenience of skiing straight back to the home, where comfort and relaxation await. Please note that snow conditions can vary, especially during the early season or late spring, which may make skiing back to the house inaccessible at times.

Living Room: Step inside to vaulted ceilings and a spacious main living room flooded with natural light. Gather around the floor to ceiling stone fireplace mantel for cozy evenings after a long day on the slopes. Sink into the plush seating in one of the two leather sofas or the leather lounge chair to enjoy serene forest views and possibly even wildlife sightings.

Kitchen: Adjacent to the living room is a chef's dream kitchen, fully equipped with high-end stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, and everything needed to prepare your favorite meals. A traditional drip coffee maker can be found on the kitchen countertop.

Dining Room: The formal dining room comfortable seats 8 with additional seating for 6 at the kitchen nook. Find seating for 3 at the breakfast bar overlooking the kitchen.

Sleeping Arrangements: 4 Bedrooms, 5 Bath -
‱ Primary Bedroom (Top Floor): King bed, dresser, wall mounted TV, and ensuite bath. The ensuite bathroom includes his and her vanity, walk-in shower, and a jetted soaking tub.
‱ Second Bedroom (Top Floor): King bed, dresser, closet, and ensuite bath. The ensuite bathroom includes a single vanity and walk-in shower.
‱ Third Guest Bedroom (Bottom Floor): King bed, closet, flatscreen TV and ensuite bath. The ensuite bathroom includes a single vanity and step-in shower.
‱ Fourth Bedroom (Top Floor): 2 Twin over full bunk beds, dresser, flatscreen TV, home office, and ensuite bath. The ensuite bath includes a single vanity and shower tub combo.

Family Room: This area offers a more casual living space complete with flatscreen TV, two lounge chairs, comfy leather sofa, gas fireplace, and patio access. You'll also find the billiards table in this room which serves as the centerpiece of the space while the cozy seating area is perfect for family movie nights or game nights. A full bathroom with single vanity and walk-in shower can be found when heading back up towards the guest bedroom on this floor.

Hot Tub: After your friendly billiards tournament, step directly onto the back patio where you can find the private 8-person Bullfrog hot tub surrounded by the ultimate seclusion.

Ski Storage: This home also features a convenient ski gear storage area located in the garage mudroom. To access it, use the wooden door to the left of the cabinet and refrigerator in the garage.

Outdoor Patio: Two large back patios offer a tranquil setting for morning coffee, apres-ski cocktails, soaking in the 8-person spa, or grilling on the propane BBQ grill. Be on the lookout for local wildlife like moose or fox who are both frequent visitors!

Laundry Room: You can find the full-size washer and dryer in the garage behind the two bifold closet doors.

Location Details: This home is a short 0.2 mile walk to the nearest MyFreeRide bus stop located on Ski Hill Road. The bus offers convenient access to Peaks 7 & 8 at the Breck Ski Resort or direct access to the Main Street Bus Station just a block off Main Street. This bus generally operates from 6:30AM to 11PM. More information such as bus arrival times can be found on the BreckFreeRide site or on the MyFreeRide app.

Just a short walk from the base of Peak 8 at the Breckenridge Ski Resort, Saw Mill Run Retreat offers the perfect location at the heart of year-round mountain adventure. Whether skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or simply enjoying the alpine air, this home is designed to help you create unforgettable memories in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

Alpine Edge provides supplies for a typical weekend stay, including paper towels, salt/pepper, dish soap, a new sponge, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent for a few loads, hotel-style bottles of shampoo and soap, plus extra rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. Fresh pressed linens, including all bed sheets and towels, are also included.
This home has a private hot tub, so extra towels for the hot tub are provided. We take care of cleaning and servicing the tub before and after your stay.

Please note the home has a Ring camera on the front door.

Family vacation

Aunts, uncles, and cousins stayed in this lovely home. Layout of bedrooms/baths was perfect for our group. Kitchen amenities were appreciated - we had everything needed! Location was great for skiiers and non-skiiers. Close to the bus and gondola, walkable to the ski area. My husband and i dont ski, but took the free ride bus to the gondola down to main street each day to explore. Others skiied and loved that it was so close .

The house is large and open with great family feel. The kitchen was large and fun for our chefs! Beds were very comfy. Walk to Peak 8 lift or have someone with you drive you over to the lift.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great Home. I’d start by say the management company was the most responsive company we’ve ever had on any rentals. The few things that needed physical attention were quickly handled. 3 super king bedrooms with full BR. Great kiddos rm with 2 bunk beds. Very well equipped kitchen, although tight on space. Loved 2 living spaces with fireplaces and pool table. Regarding ski access, it’s possible to ski back to the house, but I’d highly suggest a detailed map be left in home showing HOW one would ski back to the home. It was not possible via Tygraves trail on our stay, it took us 3 days to figure out HOW to ski back. You cannot ski out, shuttle stop isn’t super convenient, best bet is a drop off at Peak 9 gondola. Super nice touch has home had a lit Christmas tree:)). Also found the mud/ski gear room adjacent to the garage was super nice!!Opportunities to improve guests stay:- radiant heat- not clear on how it worked, no written info sheet on that. Thermostat in dining rm was set on 68, temp read 60 whole time we were there. Don’t assume everyone understands radiant heat thermostats.- ski back map as cited above - music speakers in all rooms would have loved to use it, but NO info or sheet on how to hook up or tie into it. Again a simple info sheet would be awesome.- for a quality rental and $$$ as this was a couple info sheets on opportunity items would be awesome and improve folks stay greatly!!!

Amazing!

This house is unbelievable! The kitchen has everything you could want or need plus more. The ski room was key for our family of 6. The rooms were perfect and family space was awesome. The location couldn’t have been better. Over all an excellent experience! I would HIGHLY recommend this house!

January 2021 Stay

We enjoyed making Saw Mill Run Retreat our hone for the week! The ski room was a great place to store gear and get ready in the morning. Returning from the slopes was easy off Trygves run. Relaxing in the hot tub on the deck was just the thing after skiing. We even got to meet Earl the Fox! The home was spacious and had everything we needed. Multiple areas to relax in the evening allowed all to do their own thing. The pool table was great entertainment. Getting to the slopes in the morning did require some walking, but our "ski mom" drove us the short distance each morning which saved me energy for the days runs - LOL! The management team was proactive in asking if there was anything they could do for us and promptly addressed our needs. I recommend the home and management team. Enjoy!

Great Vacation

This property was perfect for our group of 35-40 year old college friends. The house was a short walk from Peak 8 base and we were able to ski right up to the hot tub in back. Ski in/ski out was a big selling point for us, and this place delivered. Each room included its own bathroom and shower, which was a great feature for 7 adults. The kitchen was well equipped and had top of the line appliances. Downstairs was the jewel for our group because we could cook, play pool, and watch tv/movies all in one space while hanging out together. I recommend Saw Mill Run Retreat to anyone looking for a great place to stay while exploring Breckenridge and the surrounding areas. Not only will our group book another ski trip on this property in the future, my wife and her sister are already looking into bookings for the summer.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed everything about this property. We’ve rented many houses over the years and this one was exactly what we needed in every way. We all agreed the house was perfect for all of us. We were six adults and two children. The layout of the house was ideal for cooking , eating, playing cards, while others did work in another room. It was great to have bathrooms for practically every bedroom. The location was great, you could walk to the gondola to get to town, or take the bus. There were many hiking opportunities close by. Everyone had a wonderful time. The only negative was the hot tub cover that had taken on water, and was too heavy to put back in place after using. The maintenance man came in a very timely manner to address the issue. However, he told us to just leave the cover up, which is not really the remedy. Overall, we will definitely be coming back again.

Getting to the slopes in the morning did require some walking, but our "ski mom" drove us the short distance each morning which saved me energy for the days runs - LOL! The management team was proactive in asking if there was anything they could do for us and promptly addressed our needs. I recommend the home and management team. Enjoy!
