Great Stay!

Hosts were very accommodating with our stay. Cabin was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was very well appointed and make cooking easy. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Accommodations!

Comfortable, well appointed, sparkling clean and still looks brand new inside. We were happy to see all the kitchen gadgets including multiple ways to brew a cup of coffee! We hiked, hit the historical museum and a couple other points of interest, had amazing meals in Murphy and Brasstown. We have every intention to return!

We were so pleased with this cabin!We bring our motorcycle to ride in the mountains and this was a perfect location. It’s right on a paved road.Easy access to town and restaurants.The cabin itself was so warm and inviting with its mountain decor. Cleanliness was top notch. Loved sitting on the porch and watching the deer. King bed was DELUXE! Julie was a wonderful, attentive host.Hope it’s available for our next trip to Murphy.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the host or the cabin. it is absolutely the cleanest place i have ever stayed...we have stayed twice and Julie is always quick to respond when we have a question. Its close to Murphy but not so close you feel like you are in the city. I would highly recommend Gentle Bens to anyone staying in the area, no regrets.

We have stayed at many cabins (mostly in Virginia) some of them better than others, this cabin was one of our favorites so far, very close to town but far enough away to feel like you are in the country. We would 100% go back the next time we are in Murphy.

Great cabin...spotless, nicely furnished, choice of Kcup coffees...warm hot tub. The hosts obviously care that you have a good experience.I would give more stars if there were more than just 5 to give...you won't be disappointed.

this property is stunning. So comfortable, just right for 2 couples or family. It has all the extras, even games, puzzles, the wrap around porch has the most comfortable rockers. We didn't get to use the fire pit because of the wind, but will DEF stay here again!! There were deer everywhere!! so neat and close enough to town, that it was very convenient!!

My wife and I stayed 5 nights in this lovely and well appointed cabin. Everything was as described: the decoration was beautiful, the furniture and appliances were top notch and the bathrooms were ample and modern. The cabin was clean and spotless. We highly recommend it. We certainly plan to return.

Cozy & Quiet

A cute cabin tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, yet close to shopping. Even better, it was only a 9-minute drive to the John C. Campbell Folk School. Julie was quick to respond to our questions, and the cabin was beautifully equipped with everything we could possibly need.

The cabin is wonderful! Very, very clean, fully stocked kitchen, perfect location, easy to access, close to everything. The layout of the cabin is very cozy and homey feeling. The neighborhood is wonderful, quiet and absolutely loved all the wildlife - deer, baby deer - we saw. The hosts were easily accessed and had immediate responses and resolutions to any questions/issues we had. There wasn't anything we would suggest changing except for a fenced in area for the pups to play in. Regardless, we would definitely stay here again when coming back to Murphy.

Wonderful stay!!!

Gentle Ben's Chalet is a beautiful, clean cabin with all of the amenities for which one could hope. This includes a fully stocked kitchen with any pots, pans, utensils, coffee makers, etc. as well as a selection of personal items in case the traveler forget them, along with a marvelous hot tub, and a great tv and sound system. Both of the beds are amazingly comfortable, and beds, blankets, and bowls were provided for my dog. The cabin is close to town (about 5 minutes) yet is quiet allows for listening to and watching birds, deer, and other wildlife. The care the owners have taken to provide excellent suggestions for activities and dining is another added bonus. My dog and I much enjoyed our stay at Gentle Ben's Chalet, and I cannot wait to return for another visit!! It was perfection. Thank you!!
