Communication was great. Cabin was nice, especially for a last minute booking. Hot tub worked but isnât in the best shape. It was great for our quick stay, though! Couldnât get fireplace to work, but we also didnât contact anyone about it. Iâm sure if we had, they would have taken care of it right away.
The room didnât feel clean and the carpet was filthy with mud stains.they had no closet to put your clothes in as the closet was filled with air mattress, old spreads, junk all over the floor with no closet bar to hang clothes. Fireplace wouldnât work and was promptly reported but nothing was done. Cheap but you get what you pay for . Itâs better to pay more for something nicer with better customer service. We will never do an aunt bug property again!
We had to fill the hot tub with cold water. Then wait until the next day to heat. The hot tub doesn't work and the filter was gross. The tub inside works but you run out of hot water. The water heater runs out hot water. We had to heat water on the stove to fill it. It took a hour heating water. The cabin is dusty. My sinuses were a mess. This was not romantic.
Not recommended for more than 2 people. The sofa bed is unsleepable. They only left 5 towels and 2 washcloths for a 4 night stay with 4 adults. Please trim the branches on the tree in the parking spot. It will scratch trucks. Other than that the stay was OK. We did see a bear behind the cabin one day.
The cabin itself was decent, but we were unable to use the hot tub because the water was just absolutely disgusting. I wanted to drain and refill it because it's a very small tub anyway, but there was no hose. Aside from that, the cabin is advertised on Vrbo as being 100 yards from the center of downtown Gatlinburg, and if you click on the "view on map" widget, the little cabin icon indicates that it is located across the street from the aquarium, which is why I chose it. I drive a pretty large truck and wanted to be able to walk everywhere, but the cabin is actually a 15-20 minute drive from the main strip (depending on traffic). They would not give me any details or reveal the actual location of the cabin until the afternoon of check-in after I had already been on the road for several hours driving there. It seems as though they withheld the location until the last minute because they were being intentionally deceptive about the distance from the strip. The proximity to the strip and the hot tub were the reason I chose thus cabin, so I was disappointed that both of those were a bust. I wish I had taken a picture of the hot tub, but as my girlfriend and I stood there in our swimsuits and opened the cover, it was so disgusting that we put the cover back on and wrote it off for the week.
Cute cabin in fantastic tranquil setting. This cabin is close enough to downtown Gatlinburg but itâs set in a really cool arts and crafters community so very quiet and unique! The cabin is rustic and quirky but meets your needs! Unfortunately the hot tub which was the main reason I chose this cabin over others was not in proper working order. We did tons of hiking and really needed this ! Aunt Bugs management eventually corrected this problem by setting us up in another cabin. So if a hot tub is important to you, make sure you call ahead to ensure itâs working!
We arrived at the property in the dark. The following day we noticed dog hair all over the comforter that hadn't been checked. The balcony has historical cobwebs and all the chairs needed cleaned and sweeped by me. Aunt Bugs sent a cleaner but it's disappointing that these things weren't noticed. There's dust and cobwebs beside the cooker and on the curtain rails. It was nice to have the hot tub but only a couple of the jets were working. Some of the cutlery was lacking and felt there could have been items like a corkscrew available. The cabin is cosy and bed is comfy but these things would put me off staying again.
Beautiful place tucked away in the mountains, so quiet and peaceful!! Clean and easy check in and check out. Was contactless but were available anytime we messaged them for information about the area! Definitely a 5 ! Thank you!
We loved the location. Easy to get to down town. Some of the jets in hot tub did not work but it was hot and we did not let this ruin the vacation. Jacuzzi worked well but filled up slow. Again we were ok with this. The views from our frint porch were awsome. Would definitely stay here again
It had amenities listed, but a downside to each:Location - it is right by Rocky Top Sports, which was great since we had a football tournament there. But itâs not as close to strip as described (maybe 10 min drive; not bad). Hot tub - felt great but jets didnât work so it was a literal âhot tubâ not jacuzzi. Bath in room -Worked but took goid 40 mins fill up past jets. The jets worked on this though. Cleanliness - it was surface cleaned. However, could use good scrubbing (walls dirty, cobwebs). Fireplace - worked but only for short while before shutting off. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. But itâs like they built it in 80s/90s and just never maintenanced iit or updated it. And for that cleaning price tacked on, it needs it.
Only real complaint was that the indoor hot tub/jacuzzi didn't want to actually stay warm very well at all. It was a good cabin and served its purpose well
Very outdated. Was not clean. 3 inches of grease at the bottom of the grill at the base of the grill on the deck.Very dated and the bedspread had a bad smell to it
I will start this off by saying our only true complaints with the cabin. The map on VRBO shows that you will be right off the main road going into downtown which is why we went with this cabin in the first place, but that is not true. The listing says you are 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, that is also not true. This cabin is every bit of a 10-15 minute drive from downtown. Which isn't awful in the grand scheme of things, but when we booked this cabin we thought we could park the car and walk everywhere but that definitely wasn't the case so we had the extra charges of parking every time we wanted to leave the cabin.
The cabin itself was fine for what we needed.
We stayed here for our 10th wedding anniversary and our first trip to Gatlinburg. Once we found our bearings, the location was excellent. Free trolley should be advertised more in the listing...we used it a bunch. Cozy place. We felt safe and comfortable.
Extremely outdated. Misrepresented with photos online. Taking advantage of tourists by charging same price as much nicer ones. We have stayed in cabins for over 20 years now and this was by far the worst
